read jane and inks (alex) descreption in hulaberries world, maid latte
"hey!" inks eyes flew open at the sound of his younger sister, yuuki, in the hallway of they're tiny apartment. "whose gonna feed me if your sleeping?! I'm a growing school girl!"
"sorry..." ink was at his desk. I must've fallen asleep when I was doing my homework, he thought. that was getting more and more common, these days.
Yuuki was one of his three siblings. she had long, brown hair that went just below the midle of her back. her eyes where big and green, always looking for something to learn. her school uniform was already on. a light green mini skirt, a v-neck sweater over a blowse with bows for buttens.
"sorry, my ass. help me wake up miku and miki," she snapped, and stomped down the hallway to his other two younger sisters room. miku and miki where twins, both with short blonde hair, and bright blue eyes. the result of one of their moms many boyfriends, and only five. yuuki, well... a result of prostitution, and a sassy thirteen year old. He stood up, and look around his room. it wasn't much. small, only a dresser, a desk, and a bed. the walls where bare exept for a picture of his family before yuuki miku, and miki where born. he loved them, alright, but life was so easy... so simple, before his dad, no... cody was caught cheating. ink never thought of his dad as dad. he was cody. and even if he made ink, even if they looked exactly the same, it didn't change the fact that he did this. that he made his mom turn to drugs, alchohole, and prostitution to deal with it. if there was anybody in the world he should hate, it was him.
"what's taking you so long? jeez... one of these days, ink," yuuki said, waltzing back into his room with miku and miki by her sides.
"good morning, daddy..." miku said. that's what they called ink, because he was more of a father to them than a brother. yuuki, on the other hand...
"morning," he said back.
"alright, my little bunnies," yuuki said to them, "it's chow time! because stupid brother was sleeping, I made breakfast!"
"but your cooking," miku said.
"sucks," miki finished.
"yes! chowtime..." yuuki said, ignoring them, "gonna make myself some eggs! ink, you wake up mom, k?" and they walked out of the room. ink pulled on his uniform, a brown suit, in a matter of secconds. if he cared to participate, he could be the worlds fastest dresser. give him anything, and he'd be in it in reccord time. then again, it wasn't much of a suprise. he did every thing that way.
He grabbed his stuff and shoved it into his back pack, and walked down the hall to his moms room.
"hey, mom. it's time to eat," he shook her shoulder gently.
"... not hungry..." came her rough, cracking voice, barily a wisper.
"c'mon, mom. you've got to eat. Even if it's yuukis' cooking, I'm not gonna sit here and watch you starve. you're not gonna get healthy by smoking crack."
"... fine..." she pulled her boney body up from her bed. you could tell she was beautiful once, but now her face was covered in wrinkles, her body looked so skinny, she could fall apart at any second. the light of ambision that once filled her eyes was long gone, along with her beautiful brown hair, and soft skin. the stuff that was there till he was four. he rembered how she told him mommy was going to be the ceo of a huge bissnes, that their little family of three would live in a big house with a fountan and a swimming pool, and a dog for them to play with. they would have a big yard, with all kinds of flowers in it, and they'd eat cookies and cakes out there with the birds and the other wild animals.
that dream was long gone.
she looked like an ally cat. the kind of cat that once had a family, that used to live in a nice house that kept her fed. but for some reason or another, they threw the cat out. now it was living off the scraps in their trash can. eyes wide in fear. constently wondering if this would be the day she died.
he helped her up onto her feet, and walking with her to their tiny kitchen/living room.
"good morning, mommy," miku and miki said in usuion.
"good morning, sweeties," she said in her cracky voice. "I hope you slept well!"
you should be more worried about yourself ink thought as he picke up an egg from his plate and ate it. "hurry it up!" he said, impatiantly. "if we don't hurry, we're not going to make it to school on time!"
"and whose fault is that?" said yuuki eating her eggs slowly. "you should learn from your mistakes and set your alarm. you're lucky you have the smartest little sisters EVER."
"look, yuuki, i'm sorry, okay?"
"my ass."
"no swearing."
"my ass."
Ink sighed and looked at his empty plate. there was just no winning when it came to her. he was just happy that, even though she grumbled about it, she did what she was told.
"alrighty, mom, we're out!" yuuki said, standing. miku and miki fallowed her like baby chicks out the door.
"see, ya mom," ink looked back at her smiley face.
she still hadn't touched her breakfast.

Ink was suprised he managed to get to class a half hour early, with droping off the girls and all. just enough time... he thought, and sat down with his homework.
he finished just as the other people started to walk in. it was ten till class started. he finished early. so he just sat, and stared out the window. looks like it's gonna rain soon, he thought. which may have been the understatement of the year, because the sky was pitch black. i wonder if she'll make it...
"there he is!" someone yelled from behind. he looked back just in time to see his bestfriend, miharu, leap on him from behind. "howya been, buddy? It's been so long!"
" it's been twelve hours," ink said, not reacting to his friends bear hug.
"well, it feels like forever, because I can't stop thinking about you!"
"save those lines for your girl friend."
Miharu removed himself from ink and said "ohh... look at it rain out there! do you think it's gonna be a typhoon?"
"if it was a typhoon, they would have cancled school," ink replied. she better hurry... he thought, staring at the empty seat in front of him.
"well if you say so, ink, then it's gotta be true! mister 'i've never failed a class because i'm smart and your not ha ha ha I am ink hear me roar'."
"don't yell at me because you're grades suck. and when have i ever said that?"
miharu was about to come up with some whitty reply when the teacher walked in, Mr. abuni. he was a short old mand with gray hair neatly combed over his bald spot. ink liked him. he was a smart guy, stern, but always knew just what to say. most people thought he was cranky, but ink didn't understand where that came from.
"alright, students! time for atendance!" and right before he began to list off names, the door slamed open.
"I AM SO. SORRY," said the girl in the doorway, "my alarm didn't go off and I forgot my house key... I am so, so, so sorry!!"
"just make sure it doesn't happen again, miss Jane," Mr. Abuni said in a gruff voice.
"Yes! you rock, Mr. Abuni! high five," she raised her hand into the air.
"please take your seat, miss Jane."
"fine. be a party pooper. see if i care." she came and sat down infront of him, like she always did.
It may have been true that ink was popular. last year he was voted the schools most elegable bachelor. on valentines day, he recived over forty love notes, not counting any recived after school hours or on other days of the year. most girls ran away from him on sight, they where so nervous. Very few of them ever talked to him, and most of the time they where trying to charm him. it was safe to say he only had three or four friends that where girls out of their highly populated class of 1024.
Jane was one of the only girls he'd never talked to. and for some reason, he liked her. He couldn't figure out what it was. maybe she reminded him of his mom before cody, or her honesty, or maybe she was just intoxicating. he didn't know.
And he was almost positve she didn't even know who he was. It was that one thing that confused him the most. how could he be so aware of her, while she didn't see him at all? It killed him to think about that.
Ink didn't realize he was lost in thought until Mr. Abuni called his name at least three times.
"y-yes?" ink said, confused.
"did you do your homework, mr. top-of-the-class?"
"yes," not him, too...
"then come up here and answer the question on the board."
