Lately, I find it interesting to compare dubbed anime to the original Japanese voices. A lot of people love the dub and hate the sub, or hate the dub and love the sub. One reason for that is probably that the first one you see is the one you fall in love with. For most of us, we hear dubs in our own language first, so that's what we like best. For other people who stream anime online, they hear the original Japanese first, so that's what they like best.
For instance, I always hear people dissing the Naruto dub, saying how they hate Naruto's voice and this, that, and the other thing. Well, I saw the original series dubbed first; then I watched Shippuuden in Japanese. I find, after comparing, that Maile Flanagan is a fairly good match for Naruto's voice. In the case of the other characters, though (counting Shippuuden), Sakura's original voice is ten times better, Sai's original voice is a hundred times better, and Yuri Lowenthal is probably a little better as Sasuke (just because the Japanese actor's voice sounds too old for a 12-15 year-old, but they're both good), in my opinion. I dislike a lot of the Shippuuden characters' dub voices, though, with the exception of casting Johnny Yong Bosch as Sasori.
Guess all I'm trying to say is, forget about the "dub vs. sub" war. Give both a chance, and you might find something you like in both. ^^
