This will be the last regular installment of the OC Analysis series. So, for this month’s post, let’s keep things positive and examine the strengths of five characters.
Toshirō Okino (Eternal Rain universe) – As the Eternal Storm team’s picker-upper, Toshirō’s optimism motivates his teammates to keep going when situations look bleak. His positivity also allows him to take difficult circumstances in stride the majority of the time. He’s a huge moral support despite not being the most skilled or experienced Keyholder.
Kotarō Nomura (So Distant) – He may seem pragmatic to the point of even being a bit cold, but his strong point is definitely his keen insight into people. He can tell when others are being disingenuous, and though he’s still honing the skill, he usually can predict how people will react in a given situation. His ability to read people sometimes gives him an intuition beyond his years.
Asha Hirahara (Dreamer) – Though she’s been told all her life that it’s impossible for her to achieve her dream, she has tenacity in spades, perhaps even to a fault. She’s also extremely loyal to her friends, Haru and Hikaru. Taken together, her loyalty and tenacity make her very mentally strong.
Hikari (Search for the Sky) – We’ve talked a lot about this guy’s faults – his refusal to face his past and accompanying trust and anger issues from that baggage – but he is, overall, a good guy. He tries his absolute best to be there for the people he cares about and is protective and generally selfless.
Veli Loshaj (Pet Projects) – This cat-hybrid is the L&F’s resident peacemaker. His strength is an endearing quality but unfortunately one that can easily be taken advantage of – and that is his ability to see the best in people. Veli has no prejudices. His generous warmth and understanding can at times be a point of concern for the other members of the L&F because it borders on naïveté; but they also love him for it.
