I should've posted about this sooner, but I've been rather busy. But But But! I have awesome news!! *dances around*
I'm sure you all remember me telling you that my Lappy died, ne? Well, truth is, I had two lappies that kinda went down on me. The first was my Story Lappy...and that really killed me cause I had stories on there that I never saved. >.>; Skip the lectures please. I promise I learned my lesson. Endless hours of torture thinking I lost all of my work. ^^; The second lappy was technically my mom's but she gave it to me...and it was the one that was attacking by that retarded Spyware...still have no idea what numbskull came up with that *grumbles*
Anyway! I took my Story Lappy into Best Buy aka Geek Squad for them to look at it...finally. *is stubborn and was pacing the entire time they had their hands on it* The guy who helped me really calmed me down though. Even as he was telling me my harddrive was in the process of dying as we spoke he kept his eyes on mine and was talking Samurai stuff with me. Making me totally oblivious to my poor Lappy's demise. I had told him about my stories, and he made me go home to get my flash drive, assuring me he could save my stuff. ;w; You don't know how good it felt to hear that. I had all but given up on my work...hours and hours and hours of work. Not to mention a new story I had all but forgotten the beginning to. But yes, I went home...quickly I might add....and returned shortly after. Another man was waiting there and he told me "Give me 15 mins". You can ask my cousin...I was annoying him to pieces as I kept my eyes at that counter. He was trying to show me the iPad, but I could NOT focus. LOL
15 mins later, he hands me my lappy and my flash drive and says "There you go Miss." ...........they did all that.....for FREE. T.T Why am I so stubborn? I could've found this peace of mind months ago....
I came home, still unwilling to believe it was that simple...pop my USB Drive into the Desktop...and there they were. All my stories and character summaries...my plotlines....everything. I....Cried. Right there in front of my whole family....I cried. This is a very very rare occurrence for me. But I was just so....I can't even explain it. I couldn't help but cry. Then I was exceedingly happy and hyper for the entirety of the evening. *laughs* Ask my friends on Skype. Even as my net kept kicking me off, it couldn't take down my mood.
As I read over them now, I honestly can't believe I wrote those stories. They are...amazing. And I can't wait to carry them to their conclusions. I'm starting to remember what I had planned, and it feels great.
Alright. I shall end this post there. I'm so sorry for keeping you through all that rambling, if you manage to make it to the end of this post.
