Hello.......*sighs*
I'm sure there's no way u can guess....but I just got back from xmas shopping.....yeah....I survived. It really is surprising to find that all those people can really cram into one area and manage to somehow charge through it all! But you would think...maybe they can have a little more courtesy for all the other poor people struggling to get through too? You know, when they put those limit capacity signs up...I think they do it for the xmas rush. And when they say 200 ppl...they mean it! Ugh x.x I wouldn't mind it all that much if some people weren't so rude u know?! I'm not even gonna venture into the whole parking situation...but...u should've heard this girl!!! Just so everyone knows...I'm the type of person who will hold the door open for u. I'll wait til u get there and even allow u to go first (chh...it was how I was raised alright...to have a little bit of decency!) Well I do this year round, and though it's slightly harder at xmas time...I still try. Well, I was holding the door open for a girl (she seemed about my age, maybe a little younger) and after she walked through, do u know what she said?! "Oh, tis the season for holding doors open!" she whined..."Ugh...so now I'm gonna have to hold the doors for other people now!"
O>O Can u believe that!! Okay...I'm not even going to go into how immature she is for one...but...shouldn't we be kind to ppl on a year-round basis? I mean, when did xmas become a time for "pretending" to be kind to others? Donating for ur image? Being charitable bcuz u have to be?? I've always believed in helping ppl less fortunate than urself if ur able to but I think that doing things like this out of obligation...without any actual heartfelt meaning...is just empty. So for anyone who actually happens to read this little rant of mine...Please do the world a favor this xmas season....
Show that ur different by being kind and courteous to others...and ACTUALLY MEAN IT!! Help that old lady through the door to fight the crowds...drop some of ur loose change into one of the bell ringers baskets (not all of them...u'll go broke!)...smile at someone else whose in the same position as u are. And above all...remember...xmas wasn't supposed to be a time to "get get get" It's a rare time where u come together w/ur family and friends and just celebrate life! So merry xmas-time shopping everybody....good luck trying to survive!!
Tis the Season...
End
