That's an interesting line. "I just want to talk." When I wrote it just now, I actually meant that I only feel like talking, and I don't care about what. Possible topics included how much I love Code Geass(I LOVE Code Geass) or possibly saying something about my ex(Which is a terrible idea because it would annoy my sister and the girl might end up reading it too). Instead, I shall talk about the phrase itself. In my head it sounds evil. The part with "just" is especially sinister because it could be a lie. I could be trying to convince you to give me something you don't want to. And even saying I just want to talk brings out this idea that you don't even want to talk to me, but if I don't want anything else then maybe you should let me talk. All very negative stuff, and not at all what I meant here. It's also way too close to "We have to talk" which also means that there's a problem, and which every guy(and probably girls too) knows to fear. That's slightly different though. "We have to talk" is usually said by somebody who's close to you, and it's understandable why somebody wouldn't like hearing that. "Talk? Talk about what?" Stressful. Even if it turns out all you have to talk about is why you brought carrots home instead of broccoli. "I just want to talk" sounds like something a person you don't trust would say.
That was fun. I don't know why, but I like just thinking about the meanings of things like that. Maybe it just makes me feel smart.
Disclaimer: Every time I say "you" I mean it as a general "you" and not you, specifically. When I say "I" I usually mean it as just an example, but sometimes I don't. It's up to you(specifically) to decide which is which, but if you(specifically) think it's just an example, than it probably is.
Next time: I may start posting my short story at a rate of one page a day. That should force me to finish it eventually, even if nobody is actually gonna leave feedback.
