After the poison fiasco, Kagome wanted Inuyasha to never leave her. But, he knew he had to. Inuyasha didn't want what happened to Kikyo to happedn to Kagome. Killing himself hadn't worked, (Read Part 1: The Note) but maybe next time it would.

It wasn't hard, this time, he just wouldn't write a note.Maybe doing it himself would help too. He would do it tonight.

At points during the day, Inuyasha felt that feeling of guilt. Kagome looked so happy when he was with her, when he held her small hands in his, when he kissed her, when she laughed, he felt sick with the fact that that was the last time he'd ever hear that laugh. It would be the last time he held her, and heard her voice, and felt hand on his shoulder, or the last time she would ever tell him to sit. It would be better for her, he wouldn't be causing her pain. But wouldn't he? Being without him...what would happen to her, he hoped he'd die before he could find out. The sad truth was, that he was serious about every bit of it.
