Paper huh? Sooooo this is a touchy subject with me. :/ Here is an image of the paper I use Borden&Riley. I actually just bought some more today^^ Its 100S Smooth Cotton Comp 100% rag paper. Great with markers, and it won't bleed through even though the paper is thinner then most.
I really haven't experimented with what papers work best with Copics. I think its best to go straight to your art supplier and ask them for recommendations. Copics have ink that will dry thick and sticky on paper that is too glossy. But paper like normal printer paper and water-colour paper will NOT work well with Copics.
I could not find a proper video which will help you choose what type of paper to go with. But I do have my own guidelines for you if you go to buy some.
-No printer paper or water colour paper or almost any type of paper that has a rough texture.
-I don't even want to recommend paper with a full glossy finish as it didn't work with me!
-I do recommend any type of Bristol or Card Stock (I've never tried them, but I've felt them before xD lol) I know that a lot of people recommend Bristol paper and Card stock.
-There are actually paper that the Copic company sell themselves, but you'd probably have to purchase it online as I've never seen it in art stores. Click HERE!
-I think any type of paper that is specifically for markers would work pretty well! Rag paper is the best in my opinion.
-Also don't go for a giant sized notebook with Copics. I find that if the area is way too large, then I'll have more of a chance of getting streaking in my artwork since I'm not patient enough to colour slowly.
-And if you get paper that is thin, I'd recommend that you put something underneath your artwork so it doesn't bleed too much. The rag paper I use rarely bleeds, but it will bleed if the marker is really full of ink (i.e new markers).
I hope this helped you out!! Once again, I'd be glad to answer your questions! but for now, I'm gonna crash xD Good night everyone! Catch ya tomorrow!
