Hey, MangaKid here! ^_^
Keba Si Rota mentioned posting 'how-to' book reviews and I thought its a great idea! It reminded me to post some links to these awesome books I've read over the past year.
These books are about how to write comics!
Most of Writing Comic books by Joe Edkin is available online (click on the title link!) I don't agree with everything of course, but Mr. Edkin gets really technical with explaining different types of panels, characters, scene shots, ect. Its pretty amazing! Definitely check it out for more detail on comic book secrets!
And these two books are even more amazing: 'Understanding Comics' and 'Making Comics' by Scott McCloud (the author of Zot!). Here is Scott's webpage! Look for the books at your nearby library (Making Comics was especially awesome!)
Scott McCloud also started something called the 24-hour comic. Work on a comic for 24 hours to achieve a certain number of pages that create a quick story. You can even join other people in your community or online to do this! I've never tried though xD i like to sleep.
Hope you enjoy them! Happy reading^^

(personal note: I'm trying to stay off my laptop seeing that I've hit 85% of my internet usage for the month. So I'm not going to be as active, though I will be able to reply to emails via wifi! xD)
