So here's a little followup from my previous post, except now I'm on wifi so can't reply to comments now @.@ Thankyou already for all your feedback :D
Lol just in case, I better say that I didn't mean to rub anyone the wrong way with my view of reference pics^^' Its totally based on my opinion.
I almost forgot to suggest that if you need a certain pose, try taking pictures or posing in the mirror in the same pose. This was recommended to me by snowfox. It really helps! I've had to model my hands for myself before. But I think using actual manga art always gets you into the proportion/style a bit more^^
And like Iyami-chan recommended, as I mentioned before, creating your own reference book with doodles of poses you like is very helpful too!! I think thats right in the middle of the road if you're looking to practice poses but also develope your own style. It allows you the perfect pose but then you can use your imagination to work on your own style.
There's definitely no problem using reference pics^^ especially for fan art! Its fun and I'd say almost necessary for artists at all levels. It got me very confident to draw poses, but then also nervous to draw my own style without references. So thats something I'm gonna be working on :)
Thanks, guys <3
