Someday maybe you'll be having to mat artwork, especially in design or art classes in college. Most matboards come in big sizes when bought at art supply stores, and you'll most likely have to cut it to the desired length. Most commonly used is a Xacto-knife (left, which is a mini-version), but I just recently found out that a fabric rotary cutter (right) works WONDERS!! DDDDD: I probably saved 3 hours matting my last project last semester one night. xD
I'll definitely continue to use my beloved rotary cutter, LOL! Ah, another warning though, don't use a metal ruler again the cutter!
