Okay now here is the next stage for shading, pencil used was 2b (only), and tissue for smudging.
It was important that i lay the paper on a smooth surface while doing this. The plan here is to start at the lightest tone on the skin and work my way up darker then I do the hair, eyes and then lip. 
Has you can see Ive shaded the all the dark area of the skin leaving the light areas un shade. for the direction of shading I think i did it in the wrong direction at first, but since im going to go over it more than once ill do it properly by then.
The next Image is where I start smudging. Only a tissue was use, rolled up in a way where could press it against the paper and rub away, hence giving it this look.
