The apartment creaked, and they were stumbling, ‘the doors paint was chipping’ she reminded herself as she fell over the couch and he stomped into her coffee table, both exclaiming and rushing all the more.
It almost mattered that she’d had too much to drink.
It didn’t matter at all that the door was half open.
