Hospital Update
So, I had my follow up appointment today with the consultant after having more nerve conduction tests to see what they were going to do about my right arm. I had shockingly good news.
I will admit, my right arm is feeling strangely normal lately, even if my grip is still pretty crappy. I explained this to him and he said that they won't operate. At first I was a little peeved, but considering it's been behaving, I think it's a good job they didn't. After this, I asked about usage of both arms, since I'd been told not to use them much just in case. This was the good news...
I can now actually use them normally. As in, I was told to get on with my life! I have an open appointment for the next 6 months, so I can actually try building my arms back up again! AHHHH! *Spaz* Happy moment. <3 Maybe I can apply for that job after all. (See previous entry.)
Fighting Fire with... FIREFIGHTING? (Job related spazzing.)
So, today I was in a bit of a foul mood. I had been mulling over my old childhood dream of being a firefighter after a weekend of putting out fires caused by my brothers BBQ. I was in chat and talking to Kidorkman about it, when I mentioned it and happened to remind myself that the local stations age limit to enroll is 50.
Then it hit me...
I'm not 50 yet! Why don't I actually go for it? Sure, I'll have to tell my previous employers to go screw themselves, but... It may be possible.
So, I called them up to ask about their policy on people who have my nerve condition and what did they say?
"As soon as you have had your final operation and providing it is a success, you can enroll."
It's so sudden. I feel so impulsive, yet at the same time stupidly excited.

Meals, Mud and Blue John
So, today Lee suggested going on a walk to Codnor Castle for V-Day. So, we got up, got dressed, went into town and managed to catch the Valentines meal deal at the Red Lion. Two steaks and a bottle of red wine. I don't eat steak, so I chose five bean chilli instead.
That was nice, got a bit sloshed though... I couldn't eat much, so the wine went to my head. Lee was no different though. Hah.
We ended up walking all the way from there to Codnor Castle staggering and shouting at random things like houses and cars and Lee decided a house had a nice gas meter. (Which he called a gas box. So I told him he had a nice gas box. xD )
Anyway, walked the 3 miles to the Castle, coughing and choking from our germs and getting nice and muddy on the country lanes, avoiding golf balls from the golf club you have to cut through and generally getting unnerved by the advancing rain clouds. Got there, stood on one of the hills over looking it and Lee starts coughing. I started hammering on his back trying to help, then he keels forward. I was like 'WTF' and kept hammering. Only to realize he was on one knee, looking up at me with a ring box...
