New Bath Hotel - Matlock Review
We visited the New Bath Hotel in Matlock Bath as a possible venue. Unfortunately, it was not to my taste. It was nice enough, but there were certain things I didn't like. For example, the bright blue gaudy carpets that clashed with the cream coloured walls, the fact that the outside of the building had paint flaking off everywhere and the fact that the only rooms suitable were not exactly great. Aforementioned carpets, dreary paint colours, not very well lit. It just felt like a conference room, not a wedding venue to me. Plus, they have a well in their gardens! (And if you see a well on your wedding day, it's bad luck.) Plus, there was the fact that there would be other guests I'd have to put up with.
