Seriously... These people are like a dog with a bone.
I was invited by a member after I offered my personal experience with the parrot zoo after reading a post slagging it off as a bird prison. I was bombarded with insults.
As a member of the group I figured I would give them chance to offer proof. Not much was offered. Some images werent even from the zoo and others were taken out of context. (IE: Injured and ill birds when the place takes them in IN that condition.)
Anywho, I logged on today to find new group posts. One of which was a missing notice for a dog by one of the members which also included a description of the dognapper. 'Ginger hair and Irish accent.' First comment? "Sounds like pikey wankers to me."
First off, I found it amusing that such hateful speech was being used on a group about change and that seemingly wanted to be taken seriously. Then I just rolled my eyes as the post got liked several times.
I quoted the woman who made the comment and just said "charming." The guy who posted the missing ad then came along and chimed in with "they bring it on themselves." I said "Eye for an eye eh? Its no excuse to use racist/hate speech. Which by the way is against the TOS."
His reply? "yes it is blah blah you clearly havent dealt with them before blah blah blah get your head out the sand blaaaah."
I then said he was tarring all travellers with the same brush, I had had dealings with them before and that I expected such an attitude from a teen boy not a man who is my senior.
Then the woman who posted the comment comes in all "are u mad they r scum........ theyd eat a stuck up bitch like you for breakfast....... gimmie ur address an ill send em over for tea then you wont be sayin that. stupid cow." To which I spectacularly ignored.
Then the bloke posts again about how 'pikeys' set dogs loose and killed 2 of his sheep so he shot one of the dogs. (Meanwhile I'm chortling to myself about how he is posting that on an anti-cruelty group.) The woman replies "u should have shot the owners its the only language they understand a bullet to the head."
Then the guy decides to ask me where the hateful speech is. UGGGGHHH. So I pointed to the above comments. All the while the woman is making sarcastic comments directed at me while I have such delightful fun reporting the shit out of them both.
I bet they also think all Muslims are terrorists, the Polish are stealing all our jobs, Indian people are all from Pakistan and gay people have cooties.
