Art For Terminally/Seriously Ill Children

Some of you may know that I have a new project going called 'Smile For A Stamp' and some of you may not. For those who don't, let me explain a little about it.

Smile For A Stamp allows people from anywhere in the world to commission art from me to send to the children listed on Post Pals. (www.postpals.co.uk)

These children are registered with Great Ormond street children's hospital and have complex, often life-threatening illnesses and conditions.

The reason it's called Smile For A Stamp? - The art commissions ordered only cost the price of the postage. The maximum is around £2.30 for first class and the minimum would be around 60 pence for second class. (In dollars that would be around $3.57 max and $0.93 min.) This also means I am actually creating the art for free. I get nothing from it.

These pieces are created on high quality A4 paper using professional graphite and inked using black .3mm or .5mm fineliners to give it clean line work. The value of these images, if sold or commissioned regularly, are around £30. ($46)

Why am I doing this? - Just take one look at the Post Pals website and I think you'll understand.

I also have a crowdfunding site going to help raise cash for art supplies. http://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/smile-for-a-stamp/
