heaven's feel is insane
Everything is different. Servants are getting killed left and right! CORPSES ARE BEING EATEN!!!
Man, I wish Studio DEEN had adapted this route instead of the fate route when making fate/stay night. The events would've had less significance to non-VN readers, sure, but I still feel like heaven's feel has the most interesting/darkest storyline. :(
Also, finished fate/zero and I lovvveeeeeddddddddddd it! It's nice to see that pre-insanity Gilgamesh actually demonstrates some cunning and charisma. And ep 11 made me lol because the Saber/Rider argument basically summed up the point of the entire franchise.
My guess on the death order from here on out:
1. Assassin
2. Caster
3. Lancer
4. Berserker
And Rider, Gilgamesh, and Saber in the final 3. I still don't quite see how any of them can beat Rider's Noble Phantasm even with Gil's Gate of Babylon. Unless Gil and Saber team up, but that's pretty OOC for her. Even killing Waver seems difficult, since him and Rider are glued to the hip.
Also, season 2 needs moar Kiritsugu, moar Kariya, and less Caster. And less Tohsaka too, since that guy really is boring. I don't know how his loins managed to produce someone as awesome as Rin.
When bell is forced to eat her words
FRANTIC INTERRUPTING EDIT: OMG I HAD NO IDEA THE TERM GAR ORIGINATED IN REFERENCE TO ARCHER. (Not Gilgamesh, the other one.) THOUGH SINCE HE IS MY FAVORITE, I SUPPOSE IT IS ONLY NATURAL. O HO HO HO HO HO HO
*ahem* Anyway-
Of course, after writing that furious rant last post, I'm forced to acknowledge that, in the end, Shirou is actually an okay guy. Well, sort of. He's still insufferable in the first route of the game, which the anime primarily focuses on. But it seems that Shirou's character development doesn't occur within each route, but rather, spans over the course of the entire VN, and so he gradually matures as you progress through each route. In the second route of the game, he and several other characters are infinitely more likable. And as shocked as I am to admit it, by the end of the route, he's actually kind of... cool. He still doesn't quite grab my heart, but hell, it's a marked improvement. Bravo, Shirou. +10 points.
But in the meantime, I've decided to watch the first season of fate/zero, even though I have yet to complete the third route of the VN. The first episode alone already spoiled two things for me. Hell, the very first scene contained a spoiler! :/
Thoughts on the first five eps of fate/zero:
- oh my god, the animation.
- Kiritsugu is such a fucking cheater, lol.
- Why are both Lancers Irishmen in spandex? Not that I'm complaining, but still. Does Ireland have a monopoly on all famous spear men (and spandex)??
- Saber in a suit is an amazing thing and should be cherished and admired. Seriously, one of the things I hated about the first route of the VN is how it (and Shirou especially) tried so hard to feminize Saber, which came off as forced and unnatural.
- Rider is wonderful. And that is all that needs to be said.
- Gilgamesh is a crazy bastard no matter what happens to him, lol. But I will readily admit that he has been a consistently entertaining character. I love him and all of the outrageously offensive things he says. e.g. "I don't hold back with women and food. I take and eat at my leisure!" Seriously, who says that even.
Gilgamesh, that's who.
EDIT: This is the best thing I've seen all day:
emiya shirou
is a dumb motherfucker. THIS GUY.
I didn't even mind him until he got Saber and started saying stupid shit like, "You're a woman. You shouldn't be fighting, it just doesn't feel right!" To a girl who could probably kill him just by THINKING about it.
It's his own stupid ass that needs protection. Can I trade protagonists or something? Can't I just fuck it all and have Archer be the lead? Please?
I'll let the idiot speak for himself:
Shut your dirty mouth, Shirou. SHUT YOUR DIRTY MOUTH!!
EDIT:
THANK. YOU. Archer is such a bro. I wish he could save me from Shirou's oppressive stupidity. T_T
WHY CAN'T I HAVE NICE THINGS
I COVET THIS SO BADLY, YOU GAIZ. WHY DO FIGURINES COST SO MUCH MONEY??? AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
THING IS, I TECHNICALLY HAVE THE MONEY TO BUY THIS. BUT I WOULD FEEL SO GUILTY BECAUSE IT'S SO FUCKING EXPENSIVE.
BTW IT'S $80 W/OUT SHIPPING. I FEEL CRAZY EVEN CONSIDERING IT. HOW DO PEOPLE MAKE THIS INTO A HOBBY? ARE THEY ROLLING IN PILES OF CASH???
EDIT: Okay. Now that I've gotten this off my chest, I've managed to free myself from the grips of insanity. Game plan: I'll wait until graduation. If I still want it at that point, then I'll get it. If not, then I'll save the money/spend it on other things. Hurrah!
RANT RANT RANT
I read some comments on Tumblr that pissed me off, so MORE OF MY OP ON THE JYJ SASAENG SCANDAL.
First of all, sasaeng fans are the freaky stalker fangirl crowd that can be seen behind Junsu in the bg of this photo:
From what I've read, the actions committed by these sasaeng fans include, but are not limited to:
- Hacking the members' cellphones to keep track of every person they text/call
- Following their every move in taxi cabs and sometimes intentionally trying to cause car accidents in said taxis
- Camping outside of their houses on a nightly basis
- Breaking into the members houses, taking pictures of them while they sleep, stealing clothing, etc.
- Physically harming them (e.g. hitting them with rocks)
Obviously, none of this behavior is acceptable. And I do agree that Jaejoong hitting the girls back (regardless of whether it was severe or not) was not the best course of action to take either. HOWEVER the real issue is not "who is more at fault" and it pisses me off that this is what most arguments revolve around.
UMMM PEOPLE. The REAL issue is the fact that this shit is allowed to happen in the first place. One person on Tumblr made the argument that Jaejoong should have exercised his right as a Korean citizen and not resorted to violence. BUT THAT'S EXACTLY THE PROBLEM. Because most sasaeng are underage, there is virtually nothing he or anyone else can do to make these fans stop. They can't file restraining orders or take these girls to court AT ALL. At most, these girls get off with a warning, which isn't going to stop anybody.
So instead of uselessly pointing fingers, people should REALLY be talking about how fucked up the Korean legal system is that underage fans can intentionally cause car accidents on a regular basis and walk away unpunished. BLARGHSJDHFJSHD
And lastly, I hate the argument that sasaeng fans are still fans even if they're crazed, as if that somehow makes Jaejoong's actions more reprehensible. From what I've gathered, many sasaeng don't stalk DBSK out of love for them, but out of love for themselves. Many sasaeng get "online famous" by posting about their encounters with DBSK on the Internet. That's the reason why they can gleefully post about things like cutting Changmin's hand until it bled or causing one of the members to cry in public. If they didn't get any attention at all, then I'm guessing a lot of these sasaeng would stop. :/
In summary:
1) bitches be crazy
2) and admittedly, drunk and pissed off Jaejoong is kind of terrifying
3) but the legal system is the real problem AND EVERYONE SHOULD JUST ACKNOWLEDGE THAT ALREADY
