This turned out muuuch better. I even fried the rice to make it crunchy! Here's a few tips to anyone who wants to make this themselves. This is prob. obvious to people who've been cooking for a long time, but bear with me here. lol
- If using broccoli, boil it in water first before frying it if you don't want it to be dry.
- Also, fry tofu before anything else, even before onions. Tofu takes a looong time to cook.
- If you want the rice to have a crunchy texture, fry it with just a teaspoon of oil (for a one-person serving) over high heat. Make sure the oil is hot before adding the rice. It'll take a while to get crunchy; the rice should change slightly in color. Also, it's easier to fry less sticky rices (like Chinese white rice, apparently).
I might make the same thing for dinner, but with a peanut sauce. :)
