And I enjoyed it more than I thought I would! I actually found it scary at parts, certainly more so than the average horror movie. Though the only horror movies I've seen in theatres recently were Mama, Sinister, and a yet-to-be-released movie with the working title The Conjuring, and out of all those, Evil Dead is definitely the most entertaining. Though don't watch it if you can't stomach gore because MAN. I feel like my desensitization to violence definitely jumped up a notch after watching this movie.

And on that note, RIP to Roger Ebert. This "celebrity death" affects me more than most others because, as silly as this probably sounds, I imagine that one of his fleeting thoughts before dying was knowing that he would not be able to see upcoming movies that he was looking forward to. And that's actually something I've thought about before. I don't know, as a fellow movie enthusiast I guess I just find that way too relatable. :(
