I FINALLY GOT MY CD!!

NO THANKS TO USPS. What ended up happening was, a whole bunch of friends of mine went to Japan over spring break and my closest friend AJ was kind enough to re-buy the CD for me at a bookstore she frequented while there. ALL FIFTY DOLLARS OF IT! (And it's straight from Japan! omg MINTY FRESH JAPAN-NESS. *fondles CD more*) And she also bought a DBSK postcard for me too. And I don't think she even bought a CD for herself, even though she likes DBSK too. ;_____;

It honestly didn't even occur to me that I might get something from the trip, so it was just a huge shock. I was flailing and OMGing right in the middle of Japanese class. And then I was carrying it around with me during my next couple classes and going, "LOOK AT WHAT MY FRIEND GOT ME FROM JAPAN!!!!" to random ass people who have no idea who the boys are. Including this one Vietnamese guy in my InfoTech class who knows about Gackt, interestingly enough. xD

And in another small stroke of good fortune, the girl who sold me the DBSK bags from Thailand re-sent them for no fee. So I guess I'll just have to pray that they, you know, actually arrive this time around. And I'll give one to AJ--even though it in no way makes up for the CD, but at least it's a step in the right direction. :D?

OTHER ASIAN-Y THINGS OF INTEREST:

  • A short clip of my guyfriends' embarassing karaoke experience in Japan was uploaded on Youtube, and I feel the need to spread it all over the internet. :3
  • There was a recent Asian Awareness event at Kenyon, and Avril (WHO, BY THE WAY, IS A DEAR AND RANDOMLY RECCS MY FICS TO PEOPLE ♥♥) had DBSK music playing on the loudspeakers during part of it. I look forward to this. ;D
  • And, ummm, speaking of fic? I should be done with the one-shot some time tomorrow. It would be downright shameful if I'm not. And once that's over with, I am temporarily swearing off serious writing. (Except maybe poetry?) Fuck this shit; the lulz are more fun to write anyway. :(
