As the title implies, I created this just for fun. ^_^ I mainly intend to use this as a means to jot down whatever comes to mind, and (provided that I feel like it) put down some stuff on history. I'll try not to be too judgemental about topics that tend to be extremely sensitive like politics. (No, no, scratch that--especially politics.)

As a side note, I'm also going to start using this as a means to announce when I have updated my story Tides of Fate or anything else related to it.

For those wondering what I look like, here's a picture!

(Surprised that I'm still not showing my real face? Too bad! >D *evil laughter*)

Thank you for your time, and have a wonderful day!

Ahh, College life...

Today was the start of Freshman registration for the Spring semester, right? Well, last night I recieved an e-mail from the school letting us know that the registration period started at 8:00 this morning and thought, "okay. I'm up at that time anyway, so no problem! "

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeell...

This morning at about 9:00, I turn on my computer to find that it's taking forever for my homepage to load. I quickly find out after that that my homepage won't even bother showing itself on the screen.

First of all, my computer tends to be a little screwy with me anyway, so I thought something serioulsy wrong on it decided to rear it's ugly head to prevent me from registering. To confirm this or not, I decided to go to theO, which worked like a charm. Not that I wasn't estatic about it, but I was to busy being curious as to what the hec was going on.

I found out from my Computer professor, who is in charge of the school's network system, later what was up. This is what he told us in class today:

"I got up this morning and did my regular checks on the network. At 6:30, everything was fine. I checked again later at 8:00, and everything was still fine. At 8:05, I started getting phone calls..." He went on to tell us that our network system isn't designed to handle a substantial amount of people logging on at once. In short--it totally crashed.

This made me and several other of my fellow freshman ticked. I don't have any problems against my school's method of registration, which states that freshman are the last to register before new-commers, an event like this totally sucks!!!

The good news?

The old system of registering--which requires going to the registrar's office personally--was still up and running and void of any long lines when I got there, so I was able to sign up for most of the classes I needed/wanted to take. (*phew!* Note to self and all those reading this: ALWAYS have a list with the specifics of what you want and when you want it at hand! ^-^)

...but the fact that our network crashed on such an important day still tanks...

Tides of Fate Progress

Oh, hec yes! XD I had a little extra time on me today, so I actually managed to get the climax of the first chapter set up! (*throws the peace sign*) On top of that, I think I'm starting to get out of writer's bloc so (hopefully) production should be able to continue smoothly from there. (*throws up another peace sign*)

But that'll have to wait: I've got a paper and a computer assignment due tomorrow, a philosophy essay due next Tuesday, and a history exam next Friday to study for. (^_^;...umm, it's nothing I can't manage with a little patience...I think...) Full steam ahead!!! (*flames of determination*)

Have a super-duper-AWESOME day!

And for those of you with work-loads of any shape or size,

Good Luck! I'm rooting for ya!

Announcement

I created a new world today by the name of "Driving in the USA." I don't plan to post much in that because if I were to name every minor grevience the road has to offer, I'd even make a politician fall asleep.

Please check it out when you get the chance!

Halloween Candy Confusion

When I started doing this a few years ago with my mom, I found that giving out the candy during the trick-or-treat portion of Halloween night is actually more fun than the actual trick-or-treating itself. (For one thing, you have total acess to the candy you like and get any and all leftovers when you're done. Another neat aspect of doing so is seeing what everyone is wearing on that night and--sometimes--having a few laughs with them about it.) My neighborhood is a little over ten years old now so we usually end up with less than half a bowl of candy left for us, no biggie. This year however, was completely different. I'm not sure why, but we barely had any trick-or-treaters. For a while I was thinking that the phenomenon was due to my neighborhood's age, but then I heard from my grandmother, a few friends, and even my history professor that the same thing happend to them! Does anyone have any theories as to what happend? (Not that I'm upset that we have a whole bowl of candy to ourselves or anything, but the notion disturbs me quite a bit...)

Anyway, to officially close Halloween (even if it is a little late) I'm going to post up this simple picture of Bald Mountain since I used the Chernabog in the majority of my Halloween e-cards.

Have a great day, y'all!
