Why is life hard when you are different from the people around you?

I love many things God, life, my soulmate, anime, books and writing to name a few. I unstand think life can be hard when people do not unstand you, but unlike in anime and in books people are not always so open minded to things that do not fit want they want, and some will make you hurt for it. I would just like to know if anyone one else has been put down because they love no matter what.
