I got to say my peace about this. Me and Kita had a ‘long’ chat about this today and she came back at me with it again tonight.
This is a Bleach RP. Over half the characters are dead. Now we can’t really follow the original Bleach story, because if we do – well, a lot of us die. Me included – well, Nnoitra included. Which mean ME the RPer is out of a character and the RP.
I am sure this question pops into ‘all’ and ‘any’ RPers mind. Especially, if the RPer is RPing a character that dies in the original anime:
“How far out of character can I take my character?”
In reality there is no answer to that. The ‘only way’ you are going to get the ‘exact’ character. Is to have that character come to life *which we all know will never happen* and play that character. We all offer a part of us in our character. Which means part of our personality come through that character. *which tells me Grim and Starrk are pervs, grins (Just kidding guys)* we will ‘never’ get that character perfect. It is ‘not’ possible. We may get ‘damn close’ but that is about all. Also, being a fan of anime myself, we all have our -- *thinks* -- Fantasies? I guess you could call them about your favorite characters, and how we think if they did this or done that or acted this way or thought that way, that it would make that character better. Now don't take that as a ----
*fist pump* “YES! I can have Szayel wear a dress and put bows in his hair.”

“Wooohooo Ulquiorra can act like a normal human being and fall in love with Orihime.”

Just a few examples for you, though, we all know they will change through the days, months, years just by the people they encounter or the things that happen in their life. It’s called life, we all do it. So there is nothing wrong with showing change in your character.
So here is my resolve in this:
We have something going on in this RP that is going to change a lot of people. OC's that interact with a lot of the original character that after awhile that OC is going to start changing that character's way of thought, how they see things, how they feel about things.
I don't know about the other Espada, but Kita gives a 'damn' good augment about the Espada following Aizen. If there would have been a character like Kita in the original anime. She could have gotten the Espada and the arrancar to revolt against Aizen. His plans would have failed and Bleach would have been a 'very' short anime lol.
Now we are an RP. We are kind of like a Fanfic. We all know in a Fanfic anything is possible. It’s a story and in a story if you can imagine it, it can happen. I say we do away with following the original anime all together and march to the beat of our own drum. Stay as ‘true’ to our character as we can, but let life, the stories we create and the OC's we have in the RP and the events that happen, change us. Not to the point that no one will know that it is not Ulquiorra, Byakuya or Rukia, but even they started to change because of the people they interacted with in the anime.
