Chapter 1: Blind Beauty and the Bandit:
-"Quoheleth!" Des called at the top of his lungs. "Quoheleth, get down here. We should have met you father at the crystal shop fifteen minutes ago!"
"Coming, Des," a young girl, sixteen, called. Cautiously gliding down the steps was the most beautiful thing you could imagine. She had long, mucky silver hair pulled into a mess bun. Flower petal soft looking hands touched against the railing and the wall as she climbed down each step one by one. Wide, innocent, blank eyes stared at you as if begging for help.
Des took her hand when she reached the last step and watched as she jumped off like a small child. He brushed his stiff lips against her rosy cheek. "Aside from the fact we are almost twenty minutes late, happy birth day, precious."
