Fallenangel8's Guide to Getting Free Anime Legally

Downloading anime via Bit Torrent, fansubs streaming sites, Youtube and downloading it by other means seems like a great idea but sadly its stealing and no matter how you get it either by downloading fansubs more watching fansubs streaming (licensed or unlicensed) its still stealing. I care about the Anime Industry here in the U.S. and in Japan and illegal downloads of anime hurts not only in the U.S. but in Japan as well. I am not here to judge I myself am guilty of downloading fansubs but there are alternatives to watching anime online legally some paid and others for free.

Hulu.com

Hulu.com is a revolutionary site that lets you watch full episodes of a TV show for free with limited commercial interruption. Recently U.S anime companies like ViZ and FUNimation are using hulu.com to provide anime for free all you have to do is watch a few commercials during your show. Hulu.com has even made a all new Anime Channel on its site for one stop shopping. Current shows available are Death Note, Mushi-shi, and Naruto season 1 but thanks to popularity even more anime has been added.

New Anime Shows Added to Hulu.com

Bleach (season 1)
Ikki Tousen (season 1) (due to adult content must be 18 years and older and a registered hulu.com member (registration is free)
Naruto (season 2)

Sadly hulu.com is currently only available for the U.S. audience at this time.

Amazon Unbox and iTunes

There is no greater way to get anime cheap then Amazon Unbox and the iTunes music store. If you are low on money you could buy individual episodes of anime series for $1.99. Also with Apple TV for iTunes and TiVo with Amazon Unbox you could watch you favorite episodes on your TV.

We need to support the industry same people download fansubs and then buy the anime but alot more of us do not buying anime dvds is the bigest way you could support the industry because if the industry falls what are we left with.
