What do they know

~Aizu~

“Nai, Nai please wake up…please!” I cried holding my brother as he was ding I looked up as my tears blurred my vision “Daddy why? HOW COULD YOU DO THIS?!” I screamed.

“If you want to kill me get your own summon. Create a strong bond, one that can’t be easily broken and take down the shadows.” He told me and then walked away.

I looked back down at my brother and his eyes were closing. “Please brother don’t die don’t leave me and mom alone.” I cried.

He placed a hand on my cheek and gave me one of his selfless smiles “Don’t worry I’ll always be with you.”

My eyes shot open and I felt that my pillow was wet. I was crying “Why was I dreaming of that day?” I asked to the room.

‘Maybe it was just an old memory coming to the surface.’ Kaze suggested as I sat up in bed.

“Maybe, or it could be something’s about to happen.” I added looking up at the ceiling.

Everything went alright after that day it took a while for mom and myself to get use to it just being the two of us and around the house and not to long after my brother died I got Kaze my summon. Maybe Kaze it just a reincarnation of my brothers soul. I’ll never know though because no matter how close Kaze and I are he only knows that he is my summon and there to protect me. But my mother was so happy when Kaze appeared and she quickly accepted him into the family of course mom kept me being a bond keeper a secret form the rest of the town because ever since the war started bond keepers have been hated every where. That’s why us bond-keepers have figured out a way to hide our Summon’s so we can walk around like normal humans.

I finished getting on my boots and the last thing I put on was my cocker necklace with Kaze’s jewel attached to it and I ran down the steps into the kitchen.

“I really wish you wouldn’t wear your boots indoors Aizu.” My mom sighed making breakfast.

“I clean them off before I take them up stairs.” I mentioned lifting up my foot so my mom could see the bottom of my boot not like she ever checked but it was still fun to do.

“Well I need you to go into town and pick up a few things.” She said not looking at me.

“Alright where’s the list?” I moaned leaning back in my chair making it stand on the two back legs.

My mom set my plate in front of me and walked behind me to go and get the list pushing my chair back onto all fours along the way. I started eating and she set the folded list next to my right arm and sat down on the other side of the table. We ate in silence and I was the first one done as usual and I rinsed off my plate and set it in the sink. Then I picked up the list and started towards the door.

“Remember that if there is a wild summon’s that shows up don’t try to fight in front of everyone.” My mom warned.

“Okay mom I promise I won’t.” I said walking out the door.

When I got into town I looked around and saw all these papers laying around in the street.

“What is this?” I muttered picking one up and looking at it.

The War must be finished. You know this. I know this. And we would like you to join us in ending it once and for all. Shadow Walker believes he is strong, but we are stronger. We will defeat him and reshape the bonds! Join the Alliance! Both humans and Bond-Keepers! We welcome you to the Bond-Keeper Headquarters to join and finish the war that has lasted five years! Come and Soon!

‘So other bond-keepers want to end the war.’ Kaze said in my mind.

“It sound’s exciting actually.” I said out loud.

Some people glared at me and said that bond-keepers were no good low lives that didn’t even belong.

“My father was a bond keeper.” I told them “And so was my brother.”

“Yea and now your brother is dead and your father is a shadow some family you have.” The same person snickered.

I clenched my fists and the papers edge crinkled. “WHO ARE YOU TO SAY WHAT’S RIGHT AND WHAT’S WRONG?” I shouted the person and ran off.

I caught a paper from the air and looked at it.

“So the bond-keepers are looking for recruits.” I smirked looking up at the sky.

After a few minutes I folded the paper and started walking back to headquarters. I walked in and heard someone practicing in one of the training room that was close to the entrance. I walked in on the training and found Kumori in the training room. She stopped and looked at me. As soon as she did I took out the piece of paper and threw it to her.

“The bond-keepers are trying to strike back.” I smirked leaning against the door frame.
