Kazuki glared at the man in front of him, “Well am I gonna get my money or what?”
The man who looked forty something looked back at him and seemed to debate on whether to walk away or hand over Kazuki’s money. “I dunno…” The man said looking away at as he cradled the money pouch in his hands. “How about tonight’s fight we’ll double the payment?”
“What the hell?! I ain’t figthin’ more weaklings you had me set up to fight! I want my money I won now FORK IT OVER!” Then the young man smirked. “Or do you want me to fight for it? Your pick; fists or swords?” He stared into the man’s eyes that shift with fear. After a few moments Kazuki grew impatient and cracked his knuckles to get the man’s attention.
Finally the man gave in and handed the small bag to Kazuki.
The auburn haired man laughed, “Wise choice old man.”
Kazuki left the basement and walked out of the deserted pub. He tossed the little bag of late night’s winnings in the air with one hand and laughed arrogantly.
“Ah you finally got the money from the underground fight,” Kitsune’s voice echoed in Kazuki’s mind. “Happy now? We should go back to head quarters.”
“Right, right,” Kazuki muttered under his breath. He stuffed the bag into his pant’s pocket and walked back to the Bond Keeper’s Head Quarters where he worked. In half an hour’s walk he entered the main hall of head quarters.
“Oi! I’m back!” Kazuki called not carrying if anyone answered him.
“Kazuki!”
Kazuki turned his head and saw the man named Hito walking over to him.
“Good you’re here,” Hito said. “Have you heard Sei-sama’s orders?”
“What orders?” Kazuki said yawning.
“Sei-sama has sent out flyers requesting for an alliance with both humans and Bond Keepers.”
Kazuki’s amber eyes widen and stared at the dark blond haired man. “Seriously? No joke?”
“I wouldn’t joke about something like this Kazuki.”
“Alright!” Kazuki clench his fist in front of him and a wide grin spread across his face. “It’s about time! When do we get to kill some Shadows already?”
