Macau Casino Hits 2nd-largest monthly sales in August

Macau's casino industry posted its second-highest monthly gaming revenue for the month in August, with analysts saying the market shows no signs of slowing down.

Macau's Office for the Coordination of Game Inspection said Monday that casinos in the Chinese game market collected $3.8 billion from gamblers in the month of August. The total is up 18 percent from August 2012.

August's figure came in first place only on the record $3.92 billion collected in March by Macau casinos.

Analysts said the figure was impressive in that Typhoon Utor may have delayed his visit for two or three days in a month.

During the first eight months of 2013, Macau gaming sales rose 16 percent compared to 2012, when the market raised $38 billion. Analysts expect revenue growth of 16 percent to 18 percent in 2013.

"We believe Macau fundamentals remain strong across all relevant sectors and we are confident that this trend will likely balance out this year and continue into early next year," said Grant Goversen, principal of Macau-based Union Gaming Group.

MGM Resorts International, Wynn Resorts Ltd., and Las Vegas Sand Corp. all operate casinos in Macau, and each of the three companies is building new resorts on the Cotai Strip in the region. 카지노사이트 모음

Wynn and Las Vegas Sands collect more than 70% of the company's total revenue from Macau.

Steven Weeczynski, game analyst at Stifel Nicolaus Capital Markets, said four Macau properties, including the one-year-old Cotai Central development in Sands, Las Vegas, would benefit from new ways to facilitate market access.

Weeczynski said, "With ongoing infrastructure projects designed to facilitate travel to Macau and further infiltrate large mainland population centers coming to fruition, we believe Las Vegas will be able to capture a disproportionate portion of this incremental journey."

RBC Capital Markets game analyst John Kemp said Macau casinos will make stronger comparisons for the rest of 2013 to exceed 2012 gaming gross sales. Kemp, however, said a strong Chinese economy is a good sign for Macau.

"Observers point to an improvement in domestic and international demand because export orders have also increased recently," Kemp said. "We see the latter as a positive sign for Macau given its proximity to Guangdong."

ASA Asks Marketers For Compliance Ahead Of UEFA EURO 2024

The United Kingdom's Office of Advertising Standards (ASA) has asked marketers to maintain compliance ahead of the UEFA Euro 2024 football championship. According to the authority, businesses "should not risk their bets with their ads."

With the highly anticipated tournament approaching, the ASA has released some tips, asking marketers not to make misleading promotions just to stay ahead of the trend. According to the ASA, some marketers may want to claim links between the national team and UEFA to make their products shine. However, authorities have warned that false hints of official promotions violate advertising laws.

According to the ASA, marketers who cannot walk should not speak. The ASA has asked companies that may have doubts about the use of intellectual property to seek legal advice. 프라그마틱 슬롯 사이트

In addition, the ASA asked marketers not to be tone-deaf and to "cautiously reflect in advertisements that may represent racial, cultural, or national stereotypes." The overall tone may be "just a joke," but some companies may cross the line knowingly or not, the ASA warned.

Britain's advertising regulator said marketers should not condone or encourage violence or antisocial behaviour, such as vandalism or objectification.

Veikkaus Oy Monopoly revamp to new licensing system

The Home Office is seeking public input on a draft government proposal for a new gambling law, a major reform plan outlined in the government plan. Under the proposal, Veikkaus Oy will no longer maintain a monopoly on betting, online slot machines and casino games. These gambling activities will be open to the competition through a new licensing system.

The proposal was created by a working group under the interior ministry, guided by a political operations group of secretaries of state. The consultation period on the proposal ends on August 18, 2024.

Current gambling monopoly and unregulated markets:

Currently, Veikkaus Oy has exclusive rights to provide gambling services in Finland. However, much of online gambling comes outside of this monopoly, with many companies offering online gambling services that are not supervised by Finnish authorities outside of state regulations.

The proposed legislation would establish a framework for gambling and its supervision licensed within Finland. Under the new licensing system, gambling operators can apply for permission to provide gambling games to the Finnish Supervisory Service. The measure aims to reduce gambling-related damage and convert gambling activities into a regulated environment.

Licenses are granted for certain gambling activities, including the provision of game software. Licensees are also required to pay annual supervisory fees to regulators.

Lottery, pools, totalizer bets, physical slot machines and casino games still require exclusive licenses, so you can effectively maintain Veikkaus Oy's exclusivity on these games, such as lottery games and scratch cards.

The proposal suggests that other companies within the Beikaus Group will manage their monopoly activities and rivals. The government will determine the annual compensation Beikaus pays for the exclusive license. The new legislation will also provide the state with more flexibility in future decisions regarding ownership of Beikaus cucumbers, allowing them to reduce their holdings if deemed potentially beneficial to shareholder value. The proposed changes do not automatically entail a reduction in state ownership.

Regulation of gambling behavior:

The draft law includes provisions on gambler registration, identification and residence verification, age limits, gambling through registered accounts, and more. It also proposes a centralised registration of self-imposed gambling bans applicable to all licensed operators.

Marketing and sponsorship of gambling games will also be regulated. Licensed operators will be able to advertise their services under certain restrictions, but account collaboration with social media influencers will be prohibited. Marketing should be moderate to drive demand with licensed gambling. Marketing for high-risk gambling games will be banned, and physical slot machines and casino games remaining under Baykaus' monopoly will not be able to be marketed. Marketing efforts could not be targeted at minors or vulnerable groups. 카지노사이트 모음

The current supervisory role of the police department will be transferred to the newly proposed Finnish supervisory authority under the finance ministry. The agency will have broad powers to enforce regulations including imposing administrative sanctions, banning illegal gambling activities, revoking licenses and enforcing compliance with fine payments. It will also have the power to conduct test purchases to monitor compliance.

The agency can impose administrative fines and financial penalties for violations and will oversee compliance with money laundering and anti-terrorism financing laws.

Network blocking and payment blocking measures will prevent unlicensed gambling, drive demand with licensing and regulatory options and strengthen gambling-related damage prevention, according to a press release from Finland's interior ministry.

The Finnish Institute of Health and Welfare will continue to monitor, study, and evaluate gambling and its related damage. Projects to prevent and reduce gambling-related damage will be able to provide discretionary government subsidies.

The government aims to submit the proposal to Congress in the spring session of 2025, with the new system set to be phased in. Applications for gambling licenses will begin in early 2026, with licensed operations beginning in early 2027. Beikaus Oi will remain exclusive until the end of 2026. Games software licensing applications will begin in early 2027, with requirements for licensed game software providers taking effect in 2028.

Celtic leave for a new challenge in Genk, Belgium

Oh Hyun-kyu, who was evaluated as one of the next-generation strikers to lead Korean soccer, will quit his career at Celtic Scotland for the first time in two years and start anew in Belgium.

Belgian professional football KRC Genk announced on the 15th that Oh Hyun-kyu has joined the club with a four-year contract. Genk's transfer fee to Celtic is known to be around 4.5 million pounds about 8 billion won. "Henk is a team with a lot of experience in developing young players," Oh said. "I can't wait to show myself on the ground."

Torsten Fink, who will lead Oh Hyun-kyu at Genk, is a coach who has coached Son Heung-min Tottenham Hotspur and Park Ju-ho retired. Fink coached Park Ju-ho at the Basel Switzerland in 2011 and actively utilized Son at the Hamburg Germany in the 2012-13 season. He also appointed Lee Jin-hyun Puschha Niepourmiche as an intermediary in Vienna, Austria in 2017.

Oh Hyun-kyu, who left Suwon Samsung for Celtic in January last year, scored seven goals in the 2022-23 season and five goals in the 2023-24 season. Genk finished fifth in the league with 16 wins, 12 draws and 12 losses last season.

Live racing season at Canterbury Park

Another summer horse race kicks out the door with the arrival of the live 'Surbred' and 'Quarter' horse racing season at Canterbury Park on Friday evening. The 63-day race reflects Canterbury's continued success with purse strings and horse counts remaining at record levels. The 2003 season also includes a $54 race-packed schedule of more than $1.8 million, including the return of the 'Claim Crown' and the ' $100,000 Lady Canterbury' stakes.

The heart of this season is the Claim Crown. In its fifth year, the Claim Crown has become a staple in the horse racing world. Attracting horses from across the country, the Claim Crown is a unique event designed to highlight the blue-collar runners who form the backbone of the industry. The Claim Crown Days in Canterbury Park attracted more than 10,000 fans vying for nearly $1 million. 슬롯사이트

The daily wallet count is a continuation of a series of increases that began in 2000 thanks to the success of the Canterbury Card Club. For 2003, the average daily wallet will be around $120,000, and this amount will increase significantly by 2004 if Canterbury succeeds in winning additional gaming rights in the current Minnesota state legislature. With Canterbury Park expecting to be able to hold 1,600 horses again, the wallet structure has proved attractive to horsemen.

On the track, defending riding champion Seth Martinez returns to defend his title against a group that includes Canterbury Hall of Famer Scott Stevens and two-time champion Derek Bell, who will return after seven years. Training champion David Van Winkle returns with JP Jet late in 2002 with an influx of new faces for the big, talented runners.
