Lots of them. Too many of them. Far too many of them. I think I have enough for my entire team to have five for each of their Pokemon.
Archie and Mars went a little overboard...

We left for Hearthome this morning and got back with the afternoon to do whatever. We filled up the entire time in Amity Square. Mars took in Casper, and Archie took in his Surskit, and I took in Nikki after glaring at the idiot reception woman who didn't think he was "quite cute enough" to go inside. Well, our Pokemon had fun, I guess. I let Nikki kinda go wherever, and he found a few rock-types to play with, plus he, Casper, and ((oh crud insert name of Archie's Surskit here)) all decided they were going to climb to the top of the weird ruins they had in the park. He almost fell off the top of the building, and then Archie yelled at me for not taking better care of my Pokemon at the exact same moment that his Surskit almost tumbled off the edge.
We didn't do anything really special for dinner, just ate at the hotel. Tomorrow we're apparently going to make Poffins. Yay...?

Somewhere that actually pertained to my interests!
Oreburgh is a very nice town, though it is rather small. In the morning Mars and Aunt Theresa took us to the Oreburgh Mining Museum, which, though it may sound boring to some people...most people...everyone but me and Roark people...was actually quite interesting! Though it might be because I'm one of the few people who actually thinks the formation of coal is cool... I think Archie was bored, though he did seem to perk up a bit at the exhibit explaining how the coal mines extended under the ocean (in an environmentally friendly manner, of course). However, the best part of the Museum was without a doubt the fossil resurrection room. Though we weren't allowed to go inside, per say, I did get to peek into the room--it looks so scientific! And it's free for the public to make use of! It isn't even close to that easy to get fossils revived in Hoenn! I think I know where I'll be sending my fossils now...A baby Anorith had just been revived--it was adorable! I'm always so fascinated, thinking about how it had actually lived hundreds of thousands of years ago...
After Roark got out of the gym, he took us to the actual mines, which was also very interesting to no one but me. Roark and I actually dug for some fossils; but since we didn't want to tamper with the mines all that much, we didn't use powerful tools, and didn't find anything, as expected. Roark promised he'd take me to the Sinnoh Underground sometime to do some real searching. I'm sure Mars and Archie are thrilled.
We all went out for dinner after that, which was very fun. I've realized I need to visit more often.
All in all, it was a great day, despite the fact that Archie made fun of me the whole time for liking, and I quote, "stupid boring smart-person stuff". We'll be returning to Hearthome tomorrow, where we can participate in, and again I quote, "poffin-making and contests and taking our Pokemon for walks in that adorable little Amity Square Park thing we saw and...uh... (cough) man stuff." Sometimes I wonder about you, Archie.

Another delay...I apologize profusely. (bows head)
Friday, we spent half the day on the road to Hearthome City. We didn't do much when we got there except watch a contest. It's done a little differently in Sinnoh than it is in Hoenn...contestants actually dress their Pokemon up! It's pretty weird seeing Pokemon go on in top hats and everything...
Yesterday morning we visited the chapel in Hearthome. It was absolutely beautiful. Now, I'm not an Arceuist, and neither is Mars and I don't think Archie is either, but Arceuists and Mewists are usually very accepting of each other, and everyone in the chapel welcomed us to pray to whichever god we wanted to. It's nice to see such acceptance and welcoming.
We got on a bus to Oreburgh in the afternoon--we'll be coming back to Hearthome probably on Tuesday, but Mars wanted to go home for Mother's Day. We arrived rather late, but not late enough that I didn't stay up and catch up with Roark and Aunt Theresa for a bit--Uncle Byron was still in Canalave until this morning.
Mother's Day was very nice today. I'd picked up some flowers for Aunt Theresa. Mars and Roark gave her their presents, and then we had a sort of barbeque. I'd almost forgotten what it was like to do things with my family... Archie had a lot of fun, at least I think so; it was almost as if he was part of the family. My aunt took an immediate liking to him. She also asked me if we were dating...DO WE LOOK LIKE WE'RE DATING?! >///< Archie video-called his mom at some point this afternoon though: he pulled me over to the computer to say hello. It's been such a long time since I talked to Mrs. Santiago; she really is such a sweetheart. She's looking good too, a lot brighter than you'd expect. Archie looked so happy when he talked to her... It makes me almost miss my parents...Almost...More like, the concept of actually having a mother...but still...
Uncle Byron has to go back to his gym tomorrow, but Aunt Theresa and Mars will be showing us around Oreburgh tomorrow, as will Roark when he's done at his gym. I'm rather excited; it's nice to be with family. I'm glad we were able to see them.
((OOC: Headcanon alert: Theresa is Maxie's mother's sister. She also has red hair. She married Byron, gym leader of Canalave, and her children are Roark, gym leader of Oreburgh, and Mars, though Mars is a long story. Theresa is completely my own creation. I'm sorry for not posting again...I knew I wasn't going to post Friday because I had a con, but I just completely forgot yesterday <.< >.> I'll get better about posting, I swear!!))

I apologize for my sporadic posting. It's been busy.
Tuesday, I we spent a lot of time in the Game Corner, and I we actually made a lot of cash at the blackjack table slots. And no one caught me counting cards, because obviously I cannot count cards, and I'm not sure where anyone would get that idea.
Mars keeps asking me to teach her how to...I'm not sure if she has the attention span...
Anyway, after storing the frickin bucketload reasonable amount of cash I we won in Mars's safe, we took a bus that night to Pastoria. I fell asleep halfway through and woke up in the Pastoria Inn, so I can't really say much about the bus ride... But damn, Archie's shoulder is a comfy pillow.
Yesterday was spent at Lake Valor. Mars explained to us how her fellow admin Saturn almost screwed up an entire operation while trying to capture Azelf here. Apparently he still succeeded which is more than either Archie or I can say..., but it was close. We haven't met this Saturn yet, so I'm assuming he'll be in Eterna?
The rest of the time we spent at the lake was boring, to say the least. It was a giant body of water! What was I supposed to do, gawk at it? Though I actually almost fell in...I tripped... We ate at the inn last night then.
Today, though, was the worst. We entered the Great Marsh. Yes, Marsh. It was hot, humid, and disgustingly wet. We had to trudge through muddy, swampy water...so disgusting! I have to admit, watching the rare Pokemon was cool, but I would rather have watched them from the comfort of a nice, dry boulder or something. I took quite a few pictures. I enjoy the one of Archie hugging a random Wooper. Because apparently Wooper like hugs.
We ate out tonight, someplace called The Swamp. Despite the name, it wasn't that bad; I actually found the indoor waterfall they had kind of cute. And they played marsh sounds, which are actually quite relaxing when you hear them outside the horror that is the actual marsh.
Oh, also received an email from Tabitha today explaining what the mysterious box Archie was worried about it. IT'S JUST A REGULAR BOX. NOTHING TO BE WORRIED OR CONCERNED ABOUT. (grin)
Off to sleep, big day tomorrow, we're on the road again.
