Fearful

Continued from: Last Act of Defiance:

I walked my room wringing my hands when I felt Kita's reiatsu disappear. I knew Aizen had done the unthinkable.

"Why," I thought to myself as a tear trickled down my cheek, "Kita is so kind and warm. Why does she have to suffer Aizen's wrath. It's not fair."

As I turned to walk back to my window my door burst open. Turning quickly I saw Loly and Menoly standing there with Kita between them. My eyes widened and the two walked in, dropping Kita in the middle of the floor. She was covered in blood her reiatsu near nothing. Loly turned walking away as Menoly stepped back from Kita. I kneeled down beside Kita in the heap they dropped her in, gently moving the hair from her face. I looked up from Kita and demanded to know.

"WHY?! Why did Aizen have to do this to her! She has done nothing wrong!"

Loly turned quickly and was about to strike me when Nnoitra walked by my door.

"That's a bad move, Loly." Nnoitra told her as he stood in the doorway.

Loly turn with a shocked look on her face, "Lord Nnoitra?"

"Get out of here! Both of you." Nnoitra barked at them.

The two quickly left my room, Nnoitra still standing in the doorway.

"Thank you Lord Nnoitra," I said.

"I did not do it for you. I did it for Kita. After all, I owe her one and you're the only one one that can bring her back as she once was."

I shook my head looking down at Kita, "I don't know if I can bring her back to that form." More tears flowed from my eyes.

Nnoitra walked in, angered and picked me up by my collar lifting me from the floor next to Kita.

"You damn well better save her or you will be the next one to lay in a heap on the floor."

"What do you care?" I asked Nnoitra calmly, my eyes locked with his.

"I told you. I owe her and I am not the type to back out on a debt."

Nnoitra dropped me where we stood as I watched him turn and walk from the room.

"Get busy!" He barked at me, "She is fading fast."

I quickly called on my powers and concealed Kita within them. Kneeling there beside her I sighed.

"I will do my best Kita,"

Kita slowly opened her eyes and smiled weakly at me and spoke. I could not hear her, but the look in her eyes and the movement of her lips she told me.

"I have faith in you, Orihime."

Another tear trickled slowly down my cheek and I gave Kita a warm reassuring smile.
