Resistance Abilities: Dominion over sound: Scandal possesses hyper-enhanced hearing capabilities, as well as hyper-amplified vocal chords. She can hear virtually every sound, over extreme distances, and even through certain materials. She has the ability to create sonic shockwaves with her voice or though instruments, sometimes powerful enough to destroy buildings. In addition, Scandal can force her body to vibrate fast enough to move at supersonic speeds, although doing this for long periods of time causes her extreme fatigue.
Bio: Scandal Cortez had always been a quiet child, despite the special abilities she was engineered with. Her parents, Dominique and Hernando Cortez, were very proud of her musical prowess, and did well to foster her talents. Not only did it help to hide her true nature, but in doing so, they were teaching her how to survive on her own. As both their only child and a precious experiment, Scandal's survival meant more to them than she would ever comprehend.
Unfortunately, the day her parents were murdered was the day she finally understood. It happened on a cold night when she was 17 years old. The Administration had arrived at their house, and though her parents refused to tell her what was going on, Scandal knew something was wrong. When they told her to run that night, it was the last thing they ever said to her. Hours later, when she snuck back to her house to find the long dead bodies of her parents, the scream she let out shattered everything in the house. She's been on the run ever since.
Extra: Scandal still keeps a quiet personality, preferring not to draw any unnecessary attention to herself. She manages to get by playing music on the streets for money, or the occasional gig, when she can get one. She doesn't show very much emotion, and lies most of the time. She's changed her appearance drastically since the night her parents died, cutting her hair and taking on a more daring fashion sense.
