Story: The fact that he prefers not to be called by his proper title, Lord Nathaniel de Lovelle of the Vampyr Court, only shows how down-to-Earth he is, despite a turbulent childhood. At the age of eight, he followed his father out one night, only to witness his untimely murder after winning a duel. In a fit of complete rage, he drew power from the intrinsic darkness within himself, and saw to the utter destruction of the man who murdered his father. It was a traumatic experience that forever imprinted him with the Darkheart Complex, a sharp imbalance in the darkness and light within one's heart, and a weakened ability to control it. However, Nathaniel refused to succumb, for the sake of his mother and sister. As only the strongest of wills can do, he gained control over his darkness, leading a fairly normal life. He realized his true potential laid in weapons designs, and this, coupled with the ever present darkness in his heart, led him to the life of the underworld, where he learned exactly what he could do with the weapons he made. With darkness in his heart but light in his life, this Vampyr assassin-turned-FURIES agent takes life day by day, with no regrets and no looking back.
