Okay, that title doesn't make any real sense, but I just signed into my Amazon account (got two more books in the mail today!) and I'm looking at what they recommend to me. What Amazon recommends to me:
Books
Kitty's Big Trouble by Carrie Vaughn
Democracy Incorporated by Sheldon S. Wolin
Contributions to the Founding of Transfinite Numbers by Georg Cantor
Why The West Rules - For Now by Ian Morris
The Curtain: An Essay in Seven Parts by Milan Kundera
Manga
Black Lagoon, Vol. 9
Gunslinger Girl: Omnibus 2
Anime
Love Hina: The Complete Series
Gurren Lagann: The Complete Collection
Dance in the Vampire Bund: Complete Series
Games
Catherine: "Love Is Over" Deluxe Edition
Dark Souls: Collectors Edition
Okay, first things first: I don't even play games, but Dark Souls got picked because I rated the Black Lagoon boxsets. The other game showed up because I rated the GitS: SAC Season One boxset.
Also, the Kitty-whatever book showed up because....I had a gift certificate. Way to be relevant, Amazon.
More interesting, however, is all the anime that's on my list, especially since I buy way more books than anything else on that site. (Hey, I already own the second Gunslinger Girl omnibus, dammit! And why did you jack up the pre-order price for the 3rd omnibus by $3 the day after I added it to my cart? I hate you, Amazon.) I'm not even remotely interested in Dance in the Vampire Bund, but I guess if you like one anime you automatically like them all. Eh, I guess they got some things right, and others horribly, tragically wrong.
