“No it’s alright I’d rather have you sleeping and getting better then staying up and trying to go to school.” She said and sat on the bed. I flopped by down on the pillow and stared up at the ceiling.
“I’m so tired. And I just frickin’ woke up from a nap.” I muttered.
“Then get some rest I’m going to go out into the living room so you can rest. I’ll come and get you if you sleep till dinner.” She said and walked out of the room.
I laid there for a while then but I couldn’t get back to sleep even though I wanted to. I didn’t feel too good and I went to the backroom and leaned on the sink. The room started spinning and in the mirror it looked like my hair color was switching back and forth between Zero’s hair color and my hair color. I sat down on the toilet and rubbed my temples. “What is going on with me?” I muttered and sat there for another 10 minuets until the room finally stopped spinning.
Going back to my bedroom Miyuki stopped me in the hall. “Kuori…”
I turned and looked at her. “What?” I asked.
“Dinners done.” She told me.
“Alright.” I said and turned around and followed her to the kitchen.
I sat in the closest chair and put my head on the table top.
“Come on you have to eat something Kuori.” Miyuki said as I heard a plate click on the table next to my head.
I shook my head and just stayed where I was.
“Do I need to force feed you dinner?” She asked.
“I’m not hungry.” I muttered.
“You’re sick so you’re going to eat something and I’m not going to take no as an answer.” She huffed and then I felt her push me up to a sitting position in the chair.
Once she let go I slid down in the chair and stared at the food that was in front of me.
“If you don’t eat you won’t get better and I’ll come over here everyday and bug you until you eat. I’ll even tie you up to a chair and make you eat if I had to.” She said.
I looked over at her and smirked “Why don’t you just do that now, I’m sure I can come up with something to get you to smack me.” I commented and it sounded funny though because my nose was plug up.
“Just eat something for me please.” She did a puppy dog pout and I sighed. She knew that I couldn’t say no to her puppy dog pout.
I sighed and picked up my fork and poked at my food. I really wasn’t hungry even though I only ate breakfast this morning and that was is I pretty much slept for the rest of the day. Except when she text me at lunch but I fell right back a sleep after we were done.
“Sp how was your day at school Miyuki?” My mom asked.
“It was quiet for once.” Her and my mom laughed and I somewhat glared at Miyuki and she stuck her tongue out at me.
“So when are you two trying out for the play?” My mom asked.
“When there’s try out.” I muttered and Miyuki kicked me in the shin and I jumped.
“Don’t be rude.” Miyuki said under her breath.
“I’m sick don’t I get a break for the hurting me?” I asked.
She ignored my questioned and turned to my mom again, “The try outs aren’t for another week or so. I think it’s so people who are trying out for major parts can try to learn some of the lines before hand.” Miyuki answered.
“What spots are you trying out for?”
“Characters that have to much time on their hands, ow!” She kicked me again.
“Romeo and Juliet.” Miyuki smiled.
My mom laughed a little. “You two act like me and your father did when I first met your fathers parents.” I blushed and slid down in my chair a bit.
“Oh Kuori don’t be embarrassed.” Miyuki laughed a little.
“That’s what’s interesting though with Kuori the first day when he gets sick his face is really red the rest of the time he’s as pale as a ghost.” My mom stated.
“Do we have to talk about me being sick and the table?” I sighed then turned and started coughing into my sleeve.
“We were just playing with you Kuori.” My mom waved at me. “So Miyuki how are you grades in school?” I mom asked.
“Their great.” She answered.
“Can I be excused?” I asked feeling a bit funny.
“Just eat a bit more dear.” My mom motioned towards my plate and I looked down at it. “That’s great. I’m so glad that you two are so close.” She smiled and I looked at her with a are-you-kidding-me face.
“What’s with the look?” Mi asked and I looked over at her.
“We have our secrets from each other I’m sure if I went into your room and looked I could find a diary that you say that you don’t have because it’s too girly and you’re not a little girl any more.” I commented.
“And I’m sure that I can find something under your bed that you’re keeping a secret from me.” She answered.
“Like a dictionary under my bed that you’ve been looking for every time you come over here and do your homework?” I offered.
“I swear if it is under there when I need it I’m going to beat you down with the same dictionary after I’m done with it.” She warned and I put up my hands.
“I’ll try to remember to move it the next time you come over.” I commented and then we heard the door shut and my dad walked into the kitchen.
“Evening dear how was your day?” Mom asked.
“It was long.” He sighed and sat down at the table. “You feeling any better Kuori?” He asked looking over at me.
“Not really.” I muttered looking back down at my plate.
“Well the most you can do right now is drink a lot of water and get some rest.” He said.
“So can I be done?” I questioned.
“Yea you can be done.” He said and my mom slapped him in the arm. “What?” He asked rubbing his arm.
“He needs to eat too you know.” She commented.
“For being sick he ate a good amount of it.” My dad defended.
“I just don’t know what to do with you two.” My mom sighed and shook her head. “Alright you can go but take a shower it will make you feel better.” My mom called after me as I took my plate to the sink then left the room.
“Right, I’ll get on that.” I said and went into my room and got a new change of clothes.
I started towards the bathroom and then I got pushed into the wall and Miyuki ran into the bathroom and shut the door. I sighed and knocked.
“It’s ocupodo.” She laughed.
“Miyuki are you just doing this so I can’t take a shower or are you really going to the bathroom?” I asked.
“I bit of both actually.” She answered.
“Well hurry up.” I shouted.
“No, I think I’ll take my good sweet…” I cut her off.
“Miyuki I swear I will break this door down and take a shower with you in there if you don’t hurry up in there. I just want to take a shower.” I warned.
I heard the toilet flush and the door cracked open. “Then you’ll have to break the door down to get in here.” Then she shut the door really quick.
“Miyuki…don’t you have homework to do?” I asked.
“Nope finished it in school.” She answered.
“Well get out of the bathroom and go and look for that dictionary in my room.” I said and pushed the door open and she was behind it. “Oh and next time that you try to keep me out of the bathroom you really should take your socks off so you have better traction on the tile floor.” I walked in and the door closed because Miyuki was still leaning on it.
I started getting undressed “Woooooooh hold up, what do you think you’re doing?” She asked I took off my shirt and looked at her over my shoulder.
“I’m getting undressed to take a shower what does it look like I’m doing?” I commented and stripping down to my boxers.
“Ok I’m out of here.” She said and opened the door.
“What you don’t want to stay for the rest?” I laughed with huge smirk on my face. She took one of her socks off and threw it at me then slammed the door shut. I stood there for a minuet and waited for her to knock on the door.
Sure enough she did. “Can I have me sock back?” She muttered so I could barley hear it through the door.
I went to the door with her sock and opened the door slightly and she snatched the sock out of my hand and I heard her walk away from the door. I finished getting undressed and got in the shower. It took my usual ten minuets to get in and out of the shower and I walked out wearing loose black short that went just past me knees and a blue tank top. I went to my room and Miyuki was going through my closet. I tensed a little then relaxed remembering that my clothes for Zero were in my hamper. I tossed my towel and clothes into my hamper and went over to her.
“What cha’ doin’?” I asked giving her jumper cables making her jump then glare at me.
“I was looking for the dictionary that you said you had and it wasn’t under your bed.” She huffed.
I laughed and went over to my nightstand. “You’re right it was in here.” I smiled and pulled it out.
Her face went red with embarrassment “You’re such a jerk.” She said while she was laughing.
“I know, you call me that at least once a day.” I mentioned and closed it again.
She looked at my alarm clock. “I should get going. You mister; get some rest.” She ordered.
“Yes ma’am.” I laughed a bit and she walked out of the room. I whipped out my phone and texted her.
Miss you babe lol just kidding.
I heard the door shut and then I got a text back
You’re such an idiot get some sleep.
Text me when you get home. Or would you rather me ran after you and walk you the rest of the way home I joked.
I’m sure that I’m going to be fine on my own thank you.

I closed my phone and laid down on my bed. I stared at the ceiling for a while because I didn’t feel like getting up and turning off my light just yet. But at around eleven I finally got up and got a new bottle of water then went to bed.
