“Ok then, go and turn yourself into a sexy beast to make a good impression on my cousin.” I looked back at him and stuck my tongue out at him. “Love you to hot cakes.” I blushed wildly and quickly left the house. I walked home and sneezed a few times. I rubbed my eyes and walked in, seeing mom by the kitchen.
“So, did you have fun?” She asked.
“I’m going back in a bit.” I went to my room and changed my clothes, and put my hair up. Mom knocked on my door and smiled.
“So, what are you going to do over there? You should ask him if he wants to go to dinner with you.”
“No mom, stop pestering me with that crazy idea that me and him will end up together.” I walked past her and went into the bathroom and grabbed the Dayquil. I thought I was coming down with a cold, and I wanted to hold it off until I met Taisuke. “Bye mother.” I said and I left and very slowly walked to his house again. I kept my eyes to the ground, hoping the medicine would kick in before I started to look like crap.
“Miyuki.” I looked up from where I was looking at the ground.
“Hey.” I smiled
“Miyuki, this is my cousin Taisuke. Taisuke, this is my best friend Miyuki.” Kuori introduced us to each other.
“It’s a pleasure to meet you Miyuki, Kuori has told me a lot about you.” Taisuke held out his hand and I looked at him. You could tell they were related. Taisuke had darker golden hair that was cut emoish, the tips ending by his shoulders. He was pretty cute. I smiled back at him.
“I, agree.” I shook his hand.
“Well, let’s go in.” Kuori said.
“I get the bed!” I laughed and ran to his room. I sat on the bed right in the middle. The other two came in. I felt a sudden rush as I stood up on the bed, and tipped over.
“H-Hey!” Taisuke caught me and I laughed giddily. “What’s wrong with her?” He looked at Kuori.
“Um, Mi?” He asked.
“I kinda drank some Dayquil before coming over…” I answered. I looked up at Taisuke, who was still holding me. “You know, you and Kuori do look alike. I’ve only seen pictures of you and him when you both were wee tots.” I grinned.
“I see.” He sat me down on the bed again.
“Thank you!” I said to him, then I looked over at Kuori. “At least someone knows how to treat a lady!”
“I hope you don’t mean yourself.” He smirked.
“Kuori that’s not very nice.” Taisuke elbowed Kuori. I looked down and turned my head a little. “Now look what you did.” Taisuke scolded.
“M-Mi, come on, you’re joking right? You’re making me look like a jerk!” Kuori exclaimed. I laughed and smiled at Taisuke.
“It’s fine, it’s what we do.” I explained. “You see, I sit here and take his abuse all the time.” I looked at Kuori and smirked.
“Kuori!” Taisuke exclaimed.
“Hey! She was just joking.” He said.
“No, I wasn’t Taisuke, please believe me.” I looked at him.
“She’s usually beating me up!” Kuori crossed his arms.
“That’s not true, I’m the one who serves you’re every wish.”
“No you don’t, quit lying jerk…”
“See? And then he calls me names.” I pouted.
“No I don’t.” Kuori glared. Taisuke started laughing.
“How long have you two been friends?”
“Since fourth grade.” Kuori answered.
“You two are a riot together.”
“I think someone needs to take a nap.” Kuori said.
“Maybe you do.” I said with a smile.
“No, girl with Dayquil drugs need a nap now.”
“No.”
“Yes.”
“No.”
“Ahh, Miyuki you’re acting like a child.” Kuori stated and Taisuke started laughing again.
“Miyuki just lay down and take a break for a while. I’m not going anywhere. Kuori’s parent’s will probably want me to spend the night.” Taisuke stated.
“Alright.” I sighed. I laid down and pouted. Kuori rolled his eyes and I smiled. “Just kidding.” I looked over at Taisuke. “I don’t mean to be kinda out of it.” I said.
“Well, you did, um, drink some medicine.” He said. I pulled my hair tie out and played with it.
“Miyuki.” Kuori said.
“Sorry, sorry, as long as you don’t do something stupid to me while I’m out.” I said.
“I won’t.” He promised. I laid my head down.
“Ok.” I closed my eyes and tried to relax, but I kept opening my eyes every now and then.
“Mi, come on, go to sleep.” Kuori looked at me.
“But…”
“But what?”
“N-Nothing.” I hugged his pillow and got to sleep in maybe 10 minutes as I heard Kuori and Taisuke talking softly, though I couldn’t make out any words.

I woke up, but I didn’t want to open my eyes. I comfy in my bed. Wait… I opened my eyes and sat up. “Oh, I’m still here.”
“Well of course you are.” Kuori was searching in his closet for something.
“How long was I out?” I asked.
“An hour and a half.”
“Where’s Taisuke?”
“Playing on the Wii, I’m searching for another remote.”
“I wanna play!” I jumped out of the bed.
“We’re bowling.” He said. I cringed. “Still want to play?” He smirked.
“Yes I do.”
“But you suck.” He said. I smacked his arm.
“N-No I don’t.”
“You can’t even break a hundred.”
“So?” I could feel my face getting warm.
“Your face is red.”
“Stop it!”
“What?” He asked innocently.
“Don’t act dumb, you’re grinning!”
“Hey, I don’t make that happen.”
“Did you find another remote yet?” I asked, getting the focus off of me.
“Yes.”
“So now you have 3?”
“Yes.”
“Yay! Now I can play!” I ran out to the living room and Taisuke smiled at me.
“Hello.”
“Hi!”
“You seem more sane.” He laughed.
“I wouldn’t bet on that Tai.” Kuori said standing behind me.
“Hey!”
“What?” He asked innocently.
“See Tai? See how mean he is?” I grinned.
“Takes one to know one.” Kuori shot back. Tai laughed.
“You two are great, never a dull moment when both of you are in the room together, you know Miyuki, Kuori used to be really shy.”
“This Kuori? Right here?” I tugged on Kuori’s ear.
“Yes that one.”
“Miyuki, stop pulling!” Kuori complained.
“Sorry.” I let him go.
“Jerk.”
“That’s me!” I smiled. We all got onto the Wii and played the sports for a bit and then switched to a raving rabbids game. It was lots of fun and we all won at least 1 game each. “Can we take a break and eat something?” I asked.
“No.” Kuori said flatly. Taisuke pushed him a little.
“Sure.” Tai smiled.
“Thank you! So, you’re on the police force?” I asked him.
“Yes I am. They wanted to transfer me to the squad that keeps going after the thief.”
“Zero?!” I asked excitedly.
“Yes.”
“I’m an aspiring reporter, so I’m going after him too! Maybe we could help each other out.” I suggested.
“Good idea, maybe Kuori could help too.”
“No, he doesn’t want to get involved.” I stated.
“Is that right Kuori?” Tai asked.
“Yep.”
“I’ve already asked him.” I crossed my arms.
“And he wouldn’t even do it when a lady asked him to.” He shook his head.
“Nope, I didn’t even want her getting into it either.” Kuori grabbed a bottle of water.
“I can take care of myself.” I muttered.
“Oh, like that day in school when I pinned you up against the lockers?” He reminded me.
“What?” Tai glared at Kuori.
“It was to prove a point, like I would ever hurt her.”
“Exactly, you wouldn’t hurt me, so why would I fight back?”
