So another week went by and it started to feel pretty normal coming home to mom having to work late and being home alone for about an hour. I got my homework done a bit faster that way too. Then with Taisuke coming home a bit later after my dad got home. It was Friday again after a stressful week at school and Miyuki, Taisuke, and I were hanging out just relaxing. Taisuke’s squad that he was in asked him to go in so he had to come back to the station.
“Sorry you two. I’ll be back soon. I’ll let aunt June know that I have to go and I might be back late just so you know.” He said and started leaving the room.
“Oh Taisuke if I’m not here in the morning I have auditions tomorrow.” I told him.
“Alright good luck with that you two.” He smiled and waved as he left the room.
“So did you want to practice one last time before auditions tomorrow or goof off for the rest of the night?” I asked Miyuki who was taking over my bed.
“Goof off did you even have to ask?” She laughed and threw my pillow at me.
I threw it back at her and stood up. “Do you want to play twister?” I offered.
“I don’t know do you think you can handle all this awesomeness?” She stated.
“Oh I’m sure I can considering you went 0 for 3 last time we played.” I smirked and walked out of the room.
“Kuori is Miyuki staying for dinner?” Mom asked popping her head out of the kitchen.
“I’m sure she is, she wouldn’t pass up on your cooking.” I told her and went to the coat closet and got twister off the top shelf where the rest of our games were. I grabbed a puzzle and monopoly too then went back to my room.
“What was your mom asking?” Miyuki questioned.
“If you were staying for dinner.” I answered setting the puzzle and Monopoly on the chair that I was sitting on not to long ago.
“And what did you say?” She said.
“That you were staying for dinner.” I answered.
“Good boy.” She smiled and snatched the box out of my hands.
“What am I a dog now?” I asked.
“Yes, yes you are.” She set out the mat on my floor.
“Okay then I’ll start wearing a name tag that say My Name is Miyuki’s Bitch.” I commented.
“You got that from What Happens in Vages.” She mentioned.
“That’s a good movie.” I sighed.
“It is. It made me laugh.” She said.
“Wait how are we going to play twister if Taisuke isn’t here to spin the arrow?” I stated.
“I’ll do it.” Mi said confidently.
“Uaha, so says the person who trips over air, trips up the stairs to her room, shall I go on?” I smirked.
“Shut up.” She glared and flicked the arrow. “Right hand red.” She told me and I did what she said.
We played a few games of twister then mom called us for dinner. We were having the Stake and gravy thing with Mash potatoes and peas. After dinner we relaxed a bit again.
“I think I’m going to head home.” Miyuki said standing up from the couch.
“Well I hope you had a good time.” My father smiled.
“I always do.” Mi answered.
“Kuori why don’t you walk her home. It’s getting late.” My mom said.
“No that’s alright I can get home on my own.” Miyuki declined.
“Mi I’m going to walk you home.” I said standing up. “You have no say in the matter.”
“Fine then.” She laughed and walked to the door.
I followed her and slipped on my shoes and I walked her home.
“I’ll see you tomorrow morning.” I waved as I stood at the end of her driveway.
“Yep bright and early.” She smiled and walked down her driveway and into the house.
I walked home at a slow pace I liked dusk, I had no idea why but I always liked the colors that the dust particles made in the sky while the sun was setting. When I got home I went to my room and cleaned up twister and put the games that I got out away then I just changed into a pair of pajama pants and told my parents night and passed out when my head hit the pillow.

I shot up when I heard a knock on my door. I was still half asleep when I finally was able to focus on my mom that was at my door.
“You have to get up you have auditions today.” She stated and left my room.
“Alright.” I sighed and swung my feet over the edge of my bed so that I didn’t just plop back down on my pillow and fall back asleep.
I looked at the clock and it was 7:30 in the morning. I didn’t have to be at the school till 9 and it didn’t take that long to get there.
I figured that since I’m up I’d just go for a run around the block then take a shower. I stood up and stretched then changed into shorts and a tank top and grabbed a pair of socks then went to the door and put on my socks and shoes.
“Going for a run?” My father asked.
He didn’t have to work on the weekends, which was a plus because we got to hang out as a family when he was home.
“Yea just around the block then I’ll be back. I don’t have to get going to school for tryouts till about 8:15-8:30.” I told him and stood up.
“Alright but don’t you want to eat something first?”
“I’ll eat after I take a shower.” I answered then walked out and down the driveway.
I went to my left and it take me that long to run a block so I ran for a few blocks and went past Miyuki’s house on my way home. I spent about 20 minuets jogging around at a decent pace and I walked down the driveway again and stretched in the wet morning grass. It felt nice though it had a bit of a bit to it. Of course it was early October so it wasn’t that surprising. After I finished stretching I went back inside, grabbed some clothes out of my bedroom and went right to the bathroom. I was surprised at how deep Taisuke could sleep I dropped the shampoo bottle and the body wash. And to my it was the loudest thing that could have ever happened. When someone is trying to sleep. I went to the kitchen and made myself some toast then brushed my teeth and left.
“Morning.” I waved as Miyuki slowly walked down her driveway.
“Why are you so energetic?” she grumbled.
“I took a run this morning.” I answered like it was the simplest thing in the world.
“How can you run so early in the morning? I didn’t even want to get out of bed.” She said as we walked to the school.
“Well that’s just how I am. I could have ran for a longer period of time but I had to take a shower also we had auditions.” I explained.
“Yea, yea.” She sighed and we walked pretty much the rest of the way in silence.
When Miyuki and I got to the auditorium Mrs. Tana and Mrs. Minakie two of the advisors for this play pulled us aside.
“You two have the parts you signed up for.” Mrs. Minakie told us and we looked at each other confused.
“Why?” Miyuki asked.
“Well no one else signed up to try out for Romeo or Juliet.” Mrs. Tana told us.
“So here’s the rehearsal schedules, and you two know that you have to practice at home. It’s up to you two if you want to stay and watch or go home.” Mrs. Minakie offered and handed us the schedules.
“I think we’ll start heading home and practice.” Miyuki said.
“Okay which ever way you want to work with it.” Mrs. Tana smiled.
I waved and we left the school. “Do you think it was planned that way?” I asked.
“Why do you say that?” Mi asked confused.
“Well why wouldn’t anyone else sign up for the parts of Romeo and Juliet. And I’m not saying just because they have a lot of lines I’m talking about how people are always saying that we’re a couple and such.” I explained.
“You have a point but I wouldn’t worry about it too much.” Mi said happily.
“Right..” I laughed a little and we went to her house first to tell her parents that we both got the parts that we signed up for. Her mother was ecstatic and hugged both of us then we were finally able to leave and go to my house.. Taisuke was up but I didn’t hear mom or dad anywhere.
“Tai where’s mom and dad?” I asked walking into the living room where Tai was lying in the recliner and turning on the television.
“They went to the store just a few minuets ago.” He answered.
“Alright, oh we both got the parts that we signed up for.” I said and sat down on the couch.
“Congrats you two.” He smiled.
“Thanks.” Mi smiled.
“This just in, for the first time Zero has sent a warning notice as to what he is going to be stealing and where.” The male news caster said and Miyuki and Tai sat up and I looked at the television with a what-the-heck-are-you-talking-about face.
“Zero will be stealing the twin gem to the cascading heart gem he stole last month. He will be stealing the gem and 10 pm tonight.” My eye twitched as I listened to the television.
‘You have got to be f’ing kidding, they couldn’t have told me on my own but now I have to deal with all of the police too…’ I thought sitting back on the couch.
Tai and Miyuki started talking about how it was strange that he sent in a warning notice. And I stood up and walked out of the living room and went to my room.
“Kuori…” I heard Mi from the hall.
“What?” I asked lying down.
“You don’t have any homework right?” Miyuki asked.
“No I don’t.” I answered.
“Then you’re coming with me tonight to catch Zero.” She smiled.
“Haha no.” I said and turned my back to her.
