So manga artist are awesome. We all agree with that. But let's just admit from now that they are just humans. Sometimes they are just running on caffeine and the stress of a huge looming deadline.You can't blame them when they get the pairing not quite right or foul up some other important part in the story. But thats what you've got fanart and fanfiction for. So the fan without the loads of caffeine in their system and no deadline in the perceivable future can write stories with a good head on their shoulders. (Even if I don't agree with some of their oppinions.)
What posesses some writers to make certain pairings when better ones are right in front of them? There are two major errors highstrung, caffienated mangakas do. Most pairings are either too unorginal or nonexistent.
.Unoriginal pairings are a common place thing. They drive me nuts. When I can tell who the main character is going to end up with from episode one it bores me. Especially when later on in the series a better prospect comes along but just because the other character, no matter how stupid he is, was there first he is going to get the girl. There is something terribly wrong with this picture.
Nonexistent pairings. This is refering to when the main character has 2 or more guys or girls to choose from and the writer leaves the main character with the happy ending of no one by her side and the decision up in the air. POOP ON A STICK!! That is sooooooooooooo unsatisfying. I prefer for the main character to end up with someone i don't like then with no one at all. What was the point of all that tension if it ends with naught? Aaarrgh!!!
Anyway ignore all that ranting. The point of this so called "world" is for me to write down my opinion about some of my favoret undone pairings and to give my version of some messed up story lines and for you to hopefully comment on it.Fair warning though if your reasons for not liking my opinion or liking a pairing or situation I loath are shallow and hollow and you beg the question to much I reserve the right to blow your opinion to bits. If in the process you get some shrapnel stuck in your skin..well. . .you asked for it.

I really wish I had the time to write another full body post but school is overwhelming right now. I was planning to do Card Captor Sakura next but am open to suggestions. School! Even though its necessary it sure is annoying!Knowledge is objective, how can they put a grade on what I know?

Ochiai & Kiri

I really couldn't decide what series to start with. So many idiotic pairings, too many defective plots. Finally I decided to start with Beauty Pop because I just bought the final volume a couple of days ago and it sounded like a good place to start.
The main and rather obvious pairing in Beauty Pop is Kiri and Narumi. You can tell that from day one. A not so awful pairing. Narumi, at the beginning is an unbearable snob but so is Ochiai. They both grow on you. Now if my favorite pairing is Narumi and Kiri why would I even bother writing this? That's the canon pairing and there is really no need to defend it. But it just so happens that I love the pairing of Ochiai and Kiri.
Ochiai, the brains behind the operation, (whether it be evil or not it's not for me to judge) falls hard for Kiri before Narumi does. That’s not to say that Narumi didn't already have any feelings I'm just saying that he hadn’t noticed anything by that point while Ochiai had a stinking stalker picture on his cell phone (Kawaii.)
Ochiai is the type of character that doesn't show his emotions much to anyone. But he is also the type that when he finally does find that someone special she will be the world to him and he won't be afraid to show it. (maybe I'm reading too much into the character)Ochiai just goes about his feelings in a too subtle way for Kiri. That and he really does love Narumi and by the end can see that Narumi loves Kiri. He is just too good a guy to steal her from him. That’s not to say that he backs down completely.
Well the case is a mute point anyway because the author would never put this pairing down in ink. From the beginning the mangaka wanted Narumi and Kiri together and no matter how the story or characters evolved that is what was going to happen. Poor Ochiai never stood a chance!
Feel free to comment on this posting. It would do wonders to my self esteem. I will even hold off on any brutal bashings this time if you'll write. I'm awaiting with baited breath for your opinion. (If you wait too long I might end up resembling a very quite and still smurf. HURRY UP!!
