--Toushirou rescues Emiri from a long day at work
Emiri was on her post mostly the entire day. She was so bored just standing there watching the empty walkways along the barracks. It was a quiet night and no one seemed to cross her path, not even her own squad mates. She sighed and wondered what her Toushirou was up to. She'd go and visit him, but she'd probably be reprimanded for leaving her post. She didn't even know what time it was. She just wanted to get off her feet.
Just then she heard a noise coming from behind her. She quickly grasped the hilt of her Zanpakutou almost instinctively and whirled around facing the direction of the noise.
"Who's there?" she said demanding.
"Whoa, easy. I don't think you'd want to kill me."
Emiri immediately relaxed at that voice.
"Toushirou, don't sneak up on me like that. You scared me."
"I'm sorry." he said laughing.
Emiri sighed.
"You love doing that to me don't you?" she said smirking and walking up to him to give him a hug.
"You bet."
She playfully hit him on the arm.
"So, what brings you here?"
"Well, I had some time to kill so I thought I'd come see you."
"Thanks. I needed it. It's pretty normal tonight. Nothing is going on."
"I see." he said.
Just then someone was walking by and noticed the captain and Emiri standing together.
"Good evening, Captain. Emiri." he said bowing.
The two nodded, but before he walked away Toushirou called out to him.
"Hey, would you mind taking this post for the rest of the night? I need Emiri's help with something."
"Sure thing, Captain." the man said coming over to them.
When the man was on post, Emiri and Toushirou walked away.
"Toushi, can you do that?" Emiri asked curiously.
"Sure why not? I'm the captain aren't I?"
"Yeah, but..."
"Just relax. Now come on. I want to show you something."
Emiri became curious and followed Toushirou all the way up to a high balcony. Only captains had access to this place so that they could scout out the whole squad's barracks with ease. When Emiri stepped onto the balcony she was amazed at how beautiful the sky was from up here. The stars seemed so much brighter.
Toushirou allowed her to be amazed at her surroundings before he got her attention. He put his one hand on her cheek and looked into her eyes. His bright aquamarine eyes that captured moonlight burned into hers, making Emiri's knees weak. She really lost all words to speak.
"Tou..."
But before she could get the rest of his name out, he placed his warm lips upon hers and pressed his body gently against her, sending her into a state of ecstasy. When he released her she smiled.
"I guess this night wasn't totally boring after all..."
"I'm glad to be of service." he said smirking and kissing her again.
