The next day...

I woke to the sun streaming through the windows. Doukugai has already gotten up, and i could hear the shower running in the background. I got up, and began to get breakfast. Eggs. Doukugai's favorite. Then Doukugai appeared around the corner, his hair dripping wet, it clothes...INSIDE OUT?!?!!?
"Doukugai Chiyo! Got back to the room and get your clothes on properly. then..DRY YOUR HAIR!"
He stared at me for a second, then, seeming to come back to reality, he turned and staked back into his bedroom, slamming the door behind him.
What his problem?
I thought as he came back, his hair dry and his clothes proper a few minutes later.
I checked the clock. it was 7:30, time to go. poor Doukugai, he didn't get his eggs.
"Come on, or else we'll be late."
School passed slowly. I tried to concentrate on the math on the board, but my mind keep wandering back to last night.
why was Dokugai crying. He never cries.
Suddenly, i realized the teacher had been calling my name! He was now glowering down at me.
"Ivy Chiyo, I'd like it if you could pay attention in my class."
"Sorry sir."
Next thing i knew, I was walking home, and Dokugai was at my side.
"Whats wrong? You seem out of it." I asked him, my voice full of concern.
"I'm just..sad...I got dumped by my girlfriend yesterday. That's why were moving."
Time stopped. I stared at him.
"G-G-G-G girlfriend?!!?!?!?!"
I stared at him, wanting to punch him. I had never had a boyfriend, no dates to speak of, and now he says he had a girlfriend?
"Yeah, we've been going out for sometime now. 2 months, maybe even more-"
SLAM!!!
my hand busted out, slamming him in the mouth, his whole body back, onto the concrete
"WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME YOU HAD A GIRLFRIEND!!!"
Tears poured down my face, landing in large blobs on the sidewalk.
"I-I I-" His words were garbled...his mouth red...with blood.
I saw the blood, then cried more, because I had made him bleed. I knelt down, pulled a tissue out of my bag, then wiped at his mouth, trying to clean it up. I dragged him home, and laid him on the couch, then got a ice pack.his mouth had stopped bleeding, but it looked pretty bad.
"I'm sorry" We said the same words at the same time. We looked into each others emerald green eyes, and knew forgiveness. I hugged him, and said,
"I have some Pocky, wanna share?"
He laughed, the laugh only I knew, and said
"Poky down ice."
I laughed so hard at him, I fell off the couch! He stared at me, then threw the ice pack at me
"Ib's our alt die hound ike is."
I couldn't stop laughing as I crawled across the floor to get the Pocky out of the cabinet.

Later that night, Dokugai slept with me again, but this time, he was shivering when he came in my room, and also he didn't ask. He just simply crawled into my bed. I got up from my finished packing and turned off the light. He was so cold that night, i was shivering until i fell asleep.
