Residing in the Mind of Nine

Just learning... Practice Round 1

It's about time I learned a little bit about Adobe Premiere Pro since I have it sitting on the computer. Suddenly my short winter break seems even shorter now with all the things I want to do... And this is one of the things.

I hope SomeGuy doesn't hate me too much...

Basically, the things I've learned within a few minutes:
-basic editing
-sound
-titles/making subs haha

:d Editing is fun.
I haven't done it since high school, and that was with Final Cut Pro. I like Premiere a lot better.

Snowy

Well there goes my classy martini party with some fellow classmates. It's a little too snowy out there for my liking, especially when wearing a skirt, heels, and possibly no way to get home :d

And with that, the school term is officially over!

The only thing left to do is a few write ups for my Business Communications course, and that would be it for this term. I just paid my tuition in full, so I'm definitely feeling poor.

However, feeling poor, and feeling free is completely different--right now I'm enjoying the latter and trying to ignore the other one... Yes.

Oh yeah, the gyoza party was an awesome success. I could have helped clean up more...D: But it was great, thanks for hosting it SG! I'll make you something special. I was surprised at the turn out, there were a lot of people, and two new people! It was great to see the B and kitty, just to see the face to the name is always great. And awesome to meet Anomaly's friend. :3

Well now that there's more time, I guess I could use that to my advantage..*coughcosplaycoughartcoughmorecosplaycough*

Some how I've managed to accumulate a huge cosplay list:

Mariya (Maria Holic)
Yui (K-On!)
Isara (Valkyria Chronicles)
Taokaka (BlazBlue)
Gwendolyn (Odin Sphere)
Momohime (Muramasa)

...
Yes I think I should stop right there hahaha

I'm stoked for the Valkyria Cosplay because it's such a massive group cosplay. I love group cosplaying! Though I think I'll be completing Mariya and Yui first, since they are the easiest and would make a decent warm up to more complicated cosplays (eg: taokaka, Isara... odin sphere + Muramasa).

:3 I love snow days because I can stay inside.

That's a lot of people...

Holy cow. Well it turns out that there would be quite a number of people showing up to SG's place on Saturday night. I really hope he doesn't mind...

From what I counted, I see 13 people... *yikes*
I guess you can say that's how big the current Shinsen group is... LOL

I need to get more ingredients.
And I need to talk to SG before the party.
I'll help clean up !! *promise*

No doubt it will be merry - lol.

Anyway,
Schools almost out. I want to work on cosplay more than anything else right now... Which is perfect because I really need to concentrate on my school work and all that good jolly stuff.

Yes. One more week. One. More. Week.
I can sorta do this?

OTL

Gyoza's From Scratch!

I'm quite excited. This weekend is going to be one heck of a busy weekend as well.

Friday-- Going to the American Apparel Rummage Sale (up to 85% off)! That's going to be fun, and probably some planning in regards to our new designer t-shirt line :p Not gonna tell anybody about that just yet.

Saturday-- Gyoza party! That's the day when I'll have to head out a lil earlier to get the ingredients and prepare the goods so that everyone can wrap some gyozas. I was thinking Bok Choi + Pork because not a lot of people may like the taste of the Chinese Chives, but we'll see. I don't think we'll be able to find the Chinese Chives anyway... Maybe not during this season.

I keep forgetting to ask SG about the time. Hopefully I can do most of the preparation work at his place... ? If not then it'll have to be at Mathias's place or mine.

We can boil them or pan fry, which ever people prefer. I have a feeling I should also bring a big frying pan as well.

Sunday-- Craft fair ! Going to try and get there early so I can get dibs on the swag bag. I love craft fairs! It makes me want to sell at some of them, and hopefully, one day I'll be able to do so :3

Ugh... Hopefully I'll get better and stop coughing when the weekend rolls around. Doctor tomorrow just to check if everything is alright; though, I feel better tonight than I felt a few nights ago. Most definitely.

Two more weeks of school! This is getting scary.

So Say We All

Finally finished Battlestar Galactica. All four seasons. It is probably one of the best things I've ever seen. I love it. Since I've finished it last night (at around 4 am) I still can't get the ending out of my head. It's not how it ended, but it's the whole premise of the whole series. And throughout the series, I saw the struggles--it's kind of weird, but it also felt like I was "living" through the struggle as well. I felt uncomfortable, awkward, frustrated as the events unfolded, and at especially how the characters developed. But that's part of how good this series is, at least to me.

I guess one thing that marathoning anything gets me is that I get more emotionally involved with the characters. But Battlestar Galactica is one of those series where you end up marathoning without even intending to in the first place.

I do plan on rewatching Battlestar Galactica: RAZOR as well as The Plan, but probably after all the school things are done and over with. Right now, I'm just savoring the ending.

"All has happened before, and will happen again...

Speaking of which I may just go and pick up the OST for the series...Yes.

On another note: I've started designing bits and pieces for t-shirts that I will eventually (and very hopefully) start selling. Most of this is fundraiser for my grad year and class - We need to find at least $18000 for our printing costs, facility rentals for grad show, and other miscellaneous goods... OTL

Hopefully when we get some collaborative works done, we'll be able to get some limited shirts out... I hope $20-$25 / shirt isn't too expensive for people?

Right, back to homework...
