Residing in the Mind of Nine

Tiny Photoshoot

I played photographer on Nov 11th. I know, SHAME ON ME.
But I had taken my time to remember those who have fallen.
It has occurred to me that while remembering those who have lost their lives and the events of WWI and WWII is great, but remembering those who have fallen even in the most recent wars as well is even greater. For the first time in a long time, we're seeing war veterans that are younger; men and women of 20-40 years. And in these wars? what are we really fighting for?
Anyway, I don't want to really get into that.

But yes, playing photographer!
There was a tiny shoot at UBC. I only got there at around 1 with maiea, and she dressed up as MP in a vinyl gown XD and of course mokita was there in his lolita. There were three photographers (all of which amateur) including me, so that was interesting and quite awkward.

I know I have a lot to work on with my photography skills, and a lot to pick up on as well. Perhaps I'll ask for a better lense/filters this X-mas lol.

Gotta work on it though...

Bitch Wine

There's less than two months left in school, and I just realized that I don't think I can pay off my next semester's tuition without getting a job.

Yep. Reality just hit me hard again, and I realize that I was still and always have been in that boat for quite some time now...

But other than that depressing bit, I helped (sorta) SG move! Well, more like Yoppan, Dr. KIM, and SG's friends did most of the moving, I just decided to help with a futon and push things around.

It's really cool moving, and now I seriously can't wait to move out myself. Although, I think I'll wait until I get a steady career going before I decide to move out. But for now, I think I will live vicariously through my friend's who have moved out on their own - hah.

So it's the new Mibu Temple (base), right?

My thoughts about AE as of now:
I don't know where I stand, really. There has been early registration, but I'm nervous about the placement of Artist Alley, or Artist Villa. I think I'll sign up anyway because it is a nice place to hang around, and keep things, but it really depends on location, and how many people I can get to share it.

I guess making money at a convention isn't a big deal anymore, I definitely want to branch out into other creative things. I don't draw often enough, and I think my drawing skills have basically gone down the drain...

I guess it's time to get back to the bottle of Bitch Wine, and continue writing my creative brief for tomorrow's class...

Exhausted, and Sick

Hmn I don't know exactly how I got to the point of getting sick... Might have been a combination of late nights, light jackets, and that random nap I took one afternoon. Woke up suddenly with a sore throat, and off I went for tai chi fan. Was pr...

Artist Alley = Artist Villa @ AE 2010

So this is rather exciting. Since the *unofficial* announcement of Artist Alley becoming the Artist Villa, there has been a lot of talk about whether or not the decision is a good one, where the Artist Villa would be located on the UBC campu...

I found Hot Chocolate. A reason to stay awake.

Got a call this morning... Well, several calls from my dear classmates that morning class was canceled. Problem was I had already showered and was pretty awake by then. Oh Bitter Sweet.

Been trying to decide exactly what this blog is going to be for. I'm not entirely sure... I would say this could be a place to post art/photos/random creative, but every time I end up saying that I never actually do post any thing of that sort.

I'll see whatever I'm up to I'll post like an informal blog about *gasp* life.

Frack.
I need to watch the rest of BSG. Which means bumming it off of a friend.
Not only that, but Dexter, catch up on House and Heroes, The Fringe, and a whole lot more according to my friend.

Though, I wonder when Spartacus: Blood and Sand is coming out... I'm really looking forward to that.

...

Now to decide whether or not I want to stay awake after the hot chocolate...
