Seeing Ben again was pretty great, but I got sidetracked when I heard a woman's voice calling out Zero's name. Glancing behind me, I saw a young girl envelope Zero in a hug.
"I'VE FOUND YOU AT LAST!" the stranger cried out in happiness.
I took a deep breath, stepping away from the group that had formed around Ben and waited for Zero to start explaining. I knew I didn't need to be jealous, but it was obvious she was a part of his past, and the past was hard to forget. I knew I shouldn't be worried because I knew Zero wouldn't do anything to hurt me, but I couldn't help the envy that was starting to build up.
Zero looked a little awkward, but it was obvious she had been a close friend to him, and I couldn't get mad at that. I had had guy friends from back home. I tried to keep a calm appearance, as I didn't want to anger Zero at all. I waited patiently for him to introduce us.
Zero kept the girl at arms reach, "It's good to see you Kiyoko." He took a step towards me. "Ariel, this is my friend Kiyoko from back in the orphanage."
I smiled warmly. "It's nice to meet you."
Kiyoko returned a curious smile. "And you must be Zero's girlfriend?"
I smirked. "Yes, yes I am."

"S-so you're the guy from the m-mountains right?" I stuttered asking Ben. I didn't know the guy too well, and I'd be surprised if he remembered me. I'd bet he didn't remember me. I'm not the most noticeable person out of the group.
"Yeah, I remember you, your Asuka right?" Ben said, interrupting my thoughts. He knew who I was?
I looked up, the surprise reflecting off of my face. "You remember?"
"Yeah I do!" He stared at me for a moment, and I turned my head. I couldn't keep up the staring.
"I'd say he's a stalker Asuka, watch out!" Sky but in playfully. I smile slightly.
"Aren't you cold?" Ben wondered, staring at my sundress I was currently wearing. I was a tad cold, but I didn't want him to worry.
"Nah, Im good!" I lied, hoping he would buy it. I never had been a good liar.
He pulled off his jacket and threw it over my head. "Put it on, you're freezing." he told me sternly.
A huge burst of light lit up the sky followed by a huge KABOOM! We all startled a little and looked up to see a wide spread of fireworks over our heads. It looked like the con was almost over.
"Aww look how pretty!" Sora said amazed. She seemed ready to burst into flight.
I glanced over at Ben and smiled; he returned it.

The fireworks sent big rumbling crashes through the ground as well as burst of light into the sky. The sheer beauty of it was inspiring. I thought back to when I was little and I saw them as a kid, a human boy, with my parents. These ones seemed to mean so much more. So much had changed since those other fireworks.
I looked down at Dani and she looked up at me.
"Isn't this beautiful?" she shouted.
I stared at her for a split second and realized, now more then ever, that I loved this girl. I wrapped my arm around her. She placed her hand over mine. we stayed like that for a while. I looked down again but this time Dani wasn't looking at the fireworks, her eyes were fixed on mine. I couldn't help myself any longer. I bent down and kissed her. Fireworks couldn't compare to the flare of happiness bursting out of my heart right now.
Dani pulled away. I looked at her quizzically when she put her forehead against mine and whispered, "I love you Gray." And then she kissed me again.

I looked over at Dani to tell her something but to my utter amazement her and Gray were pretty much locked in an intense kiss. I nudged Kasumi and Sky. Ariel whispered over to Asuka and they all began to look over. Even the new people seemed to understand this was a long awaited moment. I heard clapping and then realized that my hands were making the noise. Kasumi quickly joined in and I heard a few others to.
To any unsuspecting humans, we were just amazed by the fireworks. But there was obviously some other magic going on here. Gray and Dani, looked up at the sky together, holding hands. That's it, I couldn't contain it anymore. I ran over and threw my arms around my friend.
We both squealed together in happiness and it seemed as if it would never end.

I hugged Sora with a huge squeeze. I guess I missed her more then I thought. And then I saw David, next to the girl who claimed to be his sister. It was so obvious, they looked so similar!
"OMGBENI'VEMISSEDYOUSOMUCHWE'REHAVINGSOMUCHFUNWHEREHAVEYOUBEENWHYDIDYOUDECIDETOCOMEHERENOW????" Sora raced over the words but I got the picture.
"Well I'll tell youi the story later okay?" I said.
"AWWWW!" she whined.
Two other girls wondered up.I remembered them from the small group in the mountains. But where was the mongoose girl? I looked around. Well maybe she was just walking around with others. It seemed the group had grown huge!
The timid little girl came over and stood next to Sora as her friend talked with Sky.

"Je suis désolée." Echo muttered quietly. my guess was she was apologizing, why? I hadn't needed to tell her so much about it, that had been my choice. "Trust me, I know how it feels." she continued. I looked at her, what had she been through. Nothing worse than me. I hadn't been able to stop them from taking Willow. I hadn't been able to keep my footing on that cliff to. What had she been through. I held my damaged shoulder, I would never have full use of it again. She ha brushed her leg as she spoke, what was that for? "Echo." I said quietly, "You look like you're in pain, what is it?" I know she was hurting, why? Was it something I had don? "Je vais bien." She muttered reassuringly, my ears pricked up at that, "I'm fine." she breathed. I didn't buy that, something was wrong. I narrowed my eyes slightly. "I know what I believe inside, I'm awake and I'm alive," I quoted Awake and Alive by Skillit, it's all I could think to say. I didn't know what else to do. I didn't want to ask, I didn't want her to think I was pressing her. I looked over at Ice. He was with another girl, she looked like she was fond of him. I wondered who she was.
