In my mind I could still hear the gunshots all around me. Kasumi's words were nice and comforting, but I still felt responsible for that man's death. And to make matters worse, his lifeless corpse was still lying in front of me, lifeless eyes staring into mine. The blood-stained knife was also right in front of me in the grass seemingly staring at me as well. My body was cold. My eyes stung from crying. This was the first time I'd seen someone die before, and it was right in front of me.
I wondered if Alex had gone through this too...since he had been in the military.
I heard most of the others from the group in one place and could tell they were saying something about Kara, but I was too dazed to really know what was going on. I just sat on the ground with my bloody knife and the corpse in front of me staring at me for a while. For me, in my mind at least, the battle was still raging...

Sorry it was kinda short for me! It's really late where I'm at and I'm super tired! Anywho, there it is!
As the humans started to retreat, I sat down and looked at my paws. They were a bit bloody from the fight, but while I sat my butt down, I smelled another human behind me. I turned around quickly and growled at the human, who had a gun pointed at me, though he seemed stunned that I knew of him.
I grabbed the gun with my teeth and broke it in half. I spat it out and growled, baring my teeth, and he just scamped off with the last of the humans. I smirked, but soon smelt spilt blood. I turned my head to the smell and noticed that it was a girl. Blood was coming out of her side and her eyes were closed. I could tell she was dead. I felt sad inside but not compeltely. I didn't know her like the people around her did, and it seems that a lot of people cared about her.
Noticing Ace go over to a tree, looking sick, I walked over to him.
"Ace. You okay?" I asked him, since he was mostly the only person who talked to me lately. I crouched down next to him.
"Y..yeah, i... i just. I killed some of them." He meant the humans. So had I, but for self defense really. He looked me over. Well, I did have some cuts, but mostly only a huge cut across my arm.
"Well, yeah. They were going to kill us, and in fact the did kill that poor girl! Why do you feel bad about them?" I asked, feeling a bit more sadder than I had before. I listened to Ace's story, and understood it.
Afterwards, we both walked over to where everybody was, crowding around the girl that was killed. I sat there, and dipped my head in respect. She didn't need to be killed. Why do humans do this to us? There's no reason.
Feeling, suddenly, a slight pain in my arm that had the huge cut, I started to lick it, but it didn't help any.
"Y-you alright?" I heard a voice ask me. I looked to my right and noticed that it was the rabbit halfer. I think I heard that her name was Lucy?
"I'm fine," I said as I kept on licking my paw. I looked over at her and noticed that she was crying and sort of a quiet type. We kept on talking, until we heard an explosion.

My ears were still ringing and i saw that the others had blown up the vans. The humans started to run off. I changed back. I was covered in blood and had cuts all over me from the knives the humans had. I looked around and what i saw made me want to throw up. The little mongoose girl was laying on the ground. Some of the others had gathered around her. There was a pool of blood and she wasnt moving. I knew she was dead. I also saw the wolf girl laying on the ground. She was still alive. There was a dragon shifting back to human form next to her. He bent down and i saw her eyes open. I looked at the ground littered with the bodys of the humans. Some of them were knocked out, but others were torn to pieces. I knew that i had killed some of them. I collapsed against the tree. I felt sick. Moon walked over to me. "Ace. Are you ok?!" He crouched down next to me. "Y..yeah i...i just. I killed some of them." He looked at me confused. He didnt look that beat up from what i could see. "Well yeah. They were gonna kill us, and in fact they did kill that poor girl! Why do you feel bad about killing them?" I understood his reasoning, but i had promised. "My mother was killed by humans. Before she died she made me promise to not kill them. I could hate them, hurt them, and steal from them, but not kill them. She said they were stupid ignorant creatures, but that we, halfers, were ourselves half human. She said that made us like brothers." He kust looked at me. He left me sit in peace for a few seconds, and i thought about what i had done and what would have happened if we had not fought back against the humans. "But that was a long time ago and im not gonna let them kill me. I loved my mother, but she died because she got to comfortable around humans. She was so kind, like an angel, but those monsters could never be our brothers. We may be half human, but our two races could not be further apart." He seemed to understand. I stood up and started over to the others. The wolf girl was being taken care of, and all the others had gathered around the mongoose girl. Some of the others were saying a few words. I bowed my head and listened in silence.
~ok im not sure if this is ok. I tried not to make it all about Ace. Its kinda hard cause im not real familiar with everyone so i dont want to mess up.
Kasumi-
I had watched from the other side of the hill as Kara was shot. I couldn't believe it. I stood there in a shocked state. I wanted to go to her but I could tell she had gone already.
"Watch it, Kasumi!" called Io. She knocked aside a man as he ran towards me.
I smiled a forced smile at her, "I owe you one, Io."
She tried to smile back as well, "Just focus on staying alive."
i nodded and fought my hardest I heard another shot that seemed to sound especially onimous. I looked and saw Dani fall and Gray turn into a silver dragon. I turned to Io.
"You knew that would happen, didn't you?" I asked her.
She just smiled a little.
I could "see" that DAni was gointa be ok. I continued to fight and saw a german shepard run onto the field and go to Kara. He attacked the human near Dani and was shouting in english. Jeez, more halfers.
The humans began to slowly retreat.
"They aren't going away for good," warned Ariel.
A few of us nodded in agreement and went to DAni adn Kara. I saw Asuka crying her eyes out and went to her.
"Don't worry. Dani will be ok and Kara wasn't in any pain," I tried to comfort her.
"It's not JUST that!" she sobbed. I looked at her in a confused and gentle way.
"I killed someone!" she wailed, "I kille dhim with the knife."
I felt a wave of guilt hit me. it was my fault the little Foxcoon was so upset. I looked at the knife on the ground that was covered in blood.
"Tell me what happened," I persuaded her gently.
"WEll," she sobbed, "I found the knife*sob* and held it in front of me as a human *sob* ran toward me. *sobs* He didn't see it *sob* and ran into it."
I thought about what she said. "You didn't kill him," I told her softly.
She looked at me like I was crazy and started, "But I swa him fal-"
"You didn't kill him," I told her firmly, "Even if he did die, he killed himself. You didn't make any attempt to kill him so therefore you just didn't."
She nodded a little and sobbed.
I hugged her, "DOn't worry, one day I'll show you how to use that knife. You won't have to kill. Only defend yourself."
She looked at me with hope in her eyes.
Then I looked to the sky that was turning pink.
"Hmmm, do you think we're really humans who turn into animals," I asked out loud, "Or are we animals that turn into humans?"
ASuka just looked at me.
Then we all heard an explosion.

The plan was working! Seth had flown away and was chased by all the humans.
Two were left guarding the vans but sora and I dispatched them (not killed tho).
Then we rigged all the vans. I could see Seth returning with the humans but everything was working.
Then I saw the humans retreating from the hill. Uh, oh. We had limited time now.
I called up to him, "Seth! Fire down here!"
He understood what was happening and breathed fire on the vans which blew up at once.
The humans following Seth and the others watched in horror. Seth flew back to the hill and Sora looked at me.
She said, "I feel like I have to be back there. Do you mind if I-"
I cut her off, "Not at all! Go and check on everyine. I'll be right behind you."
She transformed and flew after Seth. I ran quickly up the steep hill.
Being an ex-assassin, I had seen horrible things in my life but what I saw on that hill was the worst by far.

i make some puzzling titles dont I XD i dont even get y i choose them XD
As I ran I heard the horrible noise of gun shots. I know it was stupid, I had always been taught to run away from guns, but other animals were in danger, and I wasn't going to let some filthy humans hurt them. When I got closer to the noise, I saw two girls standing alone. They seemed to be okay, but I approched them just to be sure.
"What's going on?" I yelled at them, obviously startling the one girl who was crying. they were already having a conversation, the other one talking frantically.
"No! I just came to see what was going on, honestly! And what do you mean 'another human'. Wait, are you a halfer too?"
"Um, hello? I was asking a question!" I said as I approched, morphing back into my human form. They stared at me. I hope I didn't make a mistake, the girl just said she was a halfer!
"Oh!" she said, turning to me, "I'm Colette, are you a halfer?"
"Yeah, obviously, since I just changed from a german sheperd to a human. I'm Jethro, by the way. Who is she?" I ask after introducing myself, motioning behind her where the small crying girl stood.
"I don't know, she won't tell me. Maybe shes in shock." Colette told me, looking at the girl, who stood staring.
"let me try," I suggested, Then turned to the girl in tears, "Yo person!Whats your name? I'm Jethro, and I really wanna know what the heck is going on here!"
" Did you honestly think talking like a gangster would help?" Colette looked at me questionably, then turned back when she heard a voice behind her,
" M-my name is Lu-Lucy. Th-theres a horrible ba-battle go-going on back th-there, the hu-humans attacked du-during our party an-and ki-killed Ka-Kara!" Lucy wailed, sobbing even harder. I said good-bye and ran towards the fight, morphing as I went. When I entered, I saw humans flying everywhere, being thrown by other halfers. knives slashed and people cried, it was a mess. I spotted a mongoose lying on her side near a tree, and I ran to assist her. I bent down, but it was too late, she was dead. This must have been the Kara Lucy was talking about.
"Stupid humans!" I yelled as I circled around a human who was heading towards a black wolf, he got closer and thats when I jumped. These humans had no right to harm us! I didn't kill the man, but I did hurt him. I trotted around to the wolf.
The fight was almost over, and I was glad. The remaining humans were backing away into the trees, retreating from our awesomeness.
We all sighed in relief. They were gone.
