I headed outside the city for this adventure. After talking to Asuka, or well running into Asuka, and talking about Harmony made me really want to go back to the cave.
Checking over my shoulder to make sure I wasn't being followed, I left the confinds of the city and stepped into welcoming forest. Once I was a little ways in, I was running on all fours, finally free of the human emotions- mainly stress- that wanted to bubble to the surface.
I loved being able to run freely without any restrictions, it felt awesome! Plus, I got all my senses hyped up! I could see far better than I could when I was a human, I could smell everything so much better as well, I was faster, stronger.
As I was nearing the caves, I caught wiff of a scent that I thought I had received on my way into the forest but had dismissed. Turning, I was able to pinpoint where the scent was coming from. Twitching my tail, I lept. I had pinned down a curious looking creature that I had never seen before. It looked like a mixture of a a fox and a racoon, though it looked more like a racoon than a fox.
The scent of the creature reminded me of someone. The scent wasn't that of a true blooded animal. I backed off. "You're a half breed aren't you?" I asked as I sat waiting for a reply.
The creature looked back at me. "Ya, it's me Asuka." Asuka laughed nervously.
Recognition hit me. "What are you doing following me?"
"Well, uh, Harmony intrigued me, and I was wondering if you could tell me more about it."
I sighed. Why not, she was a half breed just like I was. I needed to help out a fellow half breed. "Ya, sure. Follow me." I took off and disappeared into a bush, which was covering the enterance to the cave I was searching for.
Asuka was beind me as I headed for the center of the cave, where pictures were drawn all over the walls. I ran my hand along one particular picture, now a human. Asuka stayed as a Foxcoon, as I decided to call it.
"I believe this cave somehow holds the answers to finding the island, Harmony," I told her. "The caves show these half breeds living out in the world on there own away from people and animals, as none will accept them." I moved to another section of the wall. "And over here, you can see that they are living peacefully on Harmony Island."
"But, how do you get there?" Asuka asked looking the carvings over with wonder in her eyes.
"That's just it. The part where it shows how to get there is gone, removed somehow. You see the hole in the wall?" I pointed to the section that had been messed with so many years ago. "But, I believe that there is something in this cave that will help me find it. It's my mission to find it."
Asuka looked off into the distance. I took a seat and took out two apples, of which I had stolen from the market place before I had left. I handed her one and we ate in silence.
Hem...Kara huh? I smiled and made my green eyes slits. I turned my head....A mongoose half breed? I heard movement and turned to see. "Kara Kovu! Time to eat!"
I slid my gaze over to where I heard the voice and movement. Another one of her siblings. I saw her appear. "There you are! Now come on....." She trailed off and noticed me. "Who's this?" She asked. "Sky...I should get going though..." I nodded and walked off.
I wonder how many half breeds there are! I stopped and thought...How many could there be? I wish I still had Dusk to talk to...Cody was good at listening but he never understood since he is just a normal cat. I turned back into a cat and raced though the forest.
Dusk still on my mind.

After bumping into Ariel (who I had never seen at school, odd) I was so lost I didn't really know what to think. "Harmony," I said to myself, "like peace, or maybe like in music two different notes complimenting each other to sound beautiful..." I started staring off into space probably with the most blank expression anyone had ever seen before in their lives. "I wonder what it's all about," I thought. Then, remembering the snickering kids back at school, I jogged on down the sidewalk to my "home". Home just doesn't seem like the right word to me since a home is supposed to be full of love and family and all my family was either dead or pressumed dead and with no family means no love. It was a shabby abandoned house that no one (luckily) ever investigated. I walked through the front door, dropped my stuff and switched to Foxcoon mode. I went straight back outside and began trying to track the scent of Ariel thinking maybe if I followed her around without her knowing, I'd get some answers about this "Harmony". I picked up the scent and bolted that direction. "There has to be something more to "Harmony" than just a legend!" I shouted in my head.

Let me explain a little bit about why Asuka is a "Foxcoon". I've kinda decided that both of her parents were also half-breeds, her mom a fox and her dad a raccoon making her and her brother mixes of the two. Asuka is more raccoon-like in appearances although she can use fox-like sense of smell. Just thought I'd clarify that! And I just realized that Asuka is Isoka (my username) just changing two letters! HAHAHA!!!
"Uh . . . Hi?" asked a voice.
I turned to look at a girl that was coming from behind a tree. I looked at her oddly. She was an other half breed. I thought we were the only half breeds around here. "Hi," I answered. "Who are you? Are you a friend of Kovu's?"
The girl shook her head. "No, my name's Sky," she said. "I'm a half breed like you two."
"I can tell," I answered. "My name's Kara. What brings you out here?"
"Hunting," Sky answered and then she grinned mischieveously.
I shrugged, knowing that a grin like that ment trouble.

"huh. Well that was intrusting don't ya think Sky?...Sky?" "Ha what?" "Running into another half breed." "Oh yha...Wonder if we will see her again...I have not seen another one since Dusk." I said. "Well any way we should get you cleaned up! You still have some blood at your blood on your muzzle."
Uh. I don't feel like going back just yet...I need some time to my self..But there's no way Cody will let me go...soooo. I smiled. "Sky? What no!" He hissed. "Heh sorry Cody." I lifted him up(now as a human.)And pushed him into the house and locked the door. Then jammed a piece of wood in the cat door. "Sky! Let me out of here now!" He hiss and clawed at the door.
"What can't here you"*snicker* And quickly ran off. I new I would get it once I got home but I needed some time to think....The forest sounded like a good, nice quiet place right now. I started to run as a cat again then stopped to look at my refection. Cody was right...I did look bad right now with the blood from the scratch on my muzzle. So I stopped to groom myself. Then soon started running again at a steady jog.
Once I was at the forest my stomach was growling. "Hemmm..Guess I have time to hunt." I started to sniff around for pray. Mouse. I started to stalk it, pounced and killed. Eating it in hungry fast bites. Licking my lips I picked up another smell....Hem. I decided to fallow it. Soon the sent got stronger. I peered around the corner to see a small home.
I saw two other half breeds siting under a tree. Wow. Never knew there were so many. May be they were nice...But I was unsure...I creped out from my hiding place. "Ummm...Hi?"
