Hope you all don’t mind but I’m gonna attempt to introduce Mat into the story

“Come on!” Sora exclaimed grabbing Cloe’s arm and pulling her back toward the stairs. Both girls began to laugh as they raced each other down the hall. They came barreling around the corner, neck and neck, each of their foot steps producing a muffled thump on the hotel carpet. The stairs in site, Sora sped ahead, only to stop so suddenly, that Cloe slammed into the back of her, like a bug flying into a windshield.
“I though I just saw that door close.” Sora said, her eyes fixed on the last door, directly next to the stairs.
“Are you sure?” Cloe asked, picking herself up off the ground. “Should we…check it out?”
Sora took a step toward the door. She didn’t want to risk being attacked and cornered in the small hallway, but she also didn’t want to give whoever it was a chance to find a new hiding spot if she and Cloe went down stairs to inform Sky of the situation. Then again, it could have just been her imagination. Sora decided to go for it; she approached the door, with Cloe in tow. As she reached for the knob, the door swiftly flung open, a rush of orange and gray zoomed past them. Both girls let out a loud scream before they even knew what had happened.
“What the heck was that?!”

Ok I’m gonna stop here, -___-’ I wanted to get to a point where Mat is actually introduced, but I don’t know enough about all your characters to keep writing confidently. I’ve already been sitting here writing for and hour and a half (very slow writer). Could some continue for me, and find out where the little dork ran off to? XD

Past: As soon as she was five, her parents deserted her, and she has been living on her own since. When she turned ten, she went searching and found this place, the only place she didn't feel alone. She still feels alone sometimes, not having any normal friends.

Family: Her parents left her when she was very young, she doesn't have a good memory of them. she doesn't have any siblings.

It took me a second to realize that my name was being called and I turned to look at Zarzucha. I blinked and tipped my head to the side to show I was listening, "We'll be there soon." he muttered and adjusted his grip on Jake. Some people had offered to help carry him but he just refused.
Everyone continued to walk for what seemed like a long time until we saw the building. I was actually really relived that the bear hadn't been crazy and that this place actually existed..
Everyone hurried to get in and looked around the seemingly abandoned place. I sighed, "This is just what we need," I said with a finally peaceful smile, "a good place to crash and NOT be interrupted."

I entered the building with Moon by my side and looked around, "Wow," I breathed, "It's a lot bigger than it looks from the outside." he nodded and added, "part of it must have been covered in snow..." After a few halfers looking around someone shouted they found a switch and flipped it so we could see the place with some light.
From the looks of it, we were in the lobby part. I glanced around and looked at Moon before looking back at the ground with a red face. I still couldn't forget what Moon had told me back in the cave. Moon...He..He actually liked me. And all I did was stay silent. He probably has the wrong idea now that I don't feel the same way...
But you do! A small voice said in my head. I tried to push the voice away, but it was right.
By now, everyone was inside and sitting down on the couch or looking around and exploring. "It's hard to believe this place was abandoned." I told Moon and walked over to a couch and sat down. He followed me and sat next to me and put his arm around me again.
I glanced around and no one seemed to be paying too much attention to us. "Moon..." I said and looked up at him and he smiled, "I...I really like you too..." he seemed a little surprised that it all but came out of nowhere, but he also seemed glad to hear it.
How did I end up so luck?, I thought to myself and put my head on his shoulder. He's given me so many chances...That I really didn't deserve...

"Wow, this place is big!!" I said as Cloe stayed close behind me. "I'm going to go and look around!" I stated and than looked back at her, "You coming?" she hesitated before nodding and following me.
We walked up the stair and down a hallway. "This place must be where skiers stay over night or something." I told her and walked over to a half open door and looked inside.
"Cloe look! This place works out perfect! I'm sure theres enough rooms here for everyone!" I said and wandered into the room and looked around. As far as I could tell, it was like a normal hotel room. Two beds, a small tv, and bathroom.
"Come on!" I said laughing and pulling Cloe along with me as I ran back down stairs to tell Sky.
