"Will you join me?" I asked the street-boy at my feet.
He glared at me, "Who said that I don't like this life in the first place?!"
Staring at him with no emeotion, I answered, "You did, with your eyes."
This startled him. I had him now. This boy was agile and a fast-learner. He would be important to the team.
"If you come with me, I can teach you things like that. I can teach you about people. An assassins job is not just killing," I told him.
He hesitated for a moment but then said, "Sure. I'll go with you."
I handed him a GPS system, saying that the coordinates were already on there.
"You're not coming?" he asked.
I shook my head and ran out of the city. Into a forest.

A few days later, I overheard a few men saying somehting about a group of halfers adn how they were going to ambush them tonight.
Hiding my resentment and hatred toward these men, I politely asked them where and when this would occur.
They told me on the big hill on the east of town and after the sun went down.
Running quickly, I made it to the hill and kept my distance.
When they attcked later on, I observed from my spot.
The halfers were skilled and fought with great strength. Three of these stood out tremendously. A panther who lost control when the mongoose-girl died, a rat-girl with a strange sword, adn a boy who ran off and blew up the vans.
The boy was human and ....familiar.
So was the girl...
I tracked the group when they fled and remained hidden until they came to a clearing.
Making up my mind, I grabbed the rat-girl's arm.
Without raising an alarm, she flung me into the air and brought out her sword.
Twisting my arm out of her grasp, I flipped around and landed on my feet with my gun pointed at her.
"You're quick, Kasumi," I laughed.
"How do you know my name?" she asked with caution.
Pointing with my gun at her skin, I answered, "By your scars of course! you ARE the legendary Soricid, are you not?"
She glared, "not anymore."
