Ice's first post

~Ice~
I stared frozen in place as Shadow fell. Why was I reliving that night yet again. Shadow yelled for help as his black wolf body faded to the body of a human boy. His golden yellow eyes glazed with fear. I forced myself to move, perhaps this time would be different, perhaps I could save him. I lunged, but he was just out of my reach. I watched as he again plummeted to lay broken at the base of that cliff. Was I domed to watch my brother die every night without ever being able to save him.

A sharp yelp of pain woke me from my nightmare. I razed my head and glared into the darkness, what I saw made my blood run cold. Across the clearing were my pack had sheltered for the night Kallik lay on the ground, her beautiful white fur red with blood. She was like me, like Shadow had been a half-breed. She was laying at Thunder's paws as he prepared to give the finishing blow.

"Thunder, what is the meaning of this?" I barked feeling my black fur rising as I glared at the male wolf."Why are you trying to kill one of your own pack?" My voice was stern.

Thunder glared at me"You can't have not noticed, Ice. She's a half-breed." It chilled me to hear those words.

My mate Nanuke another half-breed raised her head and looked at me, her gases tolled me what she couldn't say, "But we hid it so well." I understood what I had to do if we were to stay in the pack.

I moved closer Thunder, growling aggressively. Just as I was about to attack him Frost stepped between us. "What's going on here?" the light gray wolf said.

Now I understood. We couldn't stay. I lifted my head and howled, waking the pack. They gathered around us looking cerise about what I had to say. "From now on Frost is the alpha male in this pack," I began each word sticking in my throat. "Flower will be the alpha female," I said looking at Frost's mate Flower.

"And what about you and Nanuke?" Weed asked.

"We will be leaving," I answered simply. "Kallik and Night will come with us." My voice cracked with grief. I was supposed to lead these wolves not leave them.

"Nanuke, Night help Kallik," I ordered as I moved through the wolves. They fallowed my orders and helped the young husky to her feet. Wile Night and Kallik weren't wolves Nanuke and I had razed them like wolves.

We walked many miles through the packs territory. At the edge of the territory I wanted to get even farther from the pack but Nanuke stopped me "Kallik needs to rest," She told me so we settled down in a sheltered aria near the border and waited for what would happen next.

I hope they aren't to hard to find. The border of the packs territory mite be just up ahead though so we'll see. I also told you something from Ice's past that the other characters might never know. He refuses to talk about his brother Shadow. I hope it was okay.
