Fire

I looked at the other halfer living in the village. "You'll see soon," I barked. I could smell smoke, glancing back at Ice I knew he smelled it to. I raced on foreword. I could see the house I lived in just ahead. "You ready," I barked to Ice as he ran behind me.

"Ready and waiting," my brother barked back. We were outside of the house now. I skidded, trying to turn at the same high speed. I winced, my shoulder hurt like it was burning along with the house. I continued on using all four legs as I ran.

I heard Ice tell the female halfer to stay back. I must have been limping, but I didn't stop. "Andy, Tie, where are you," I barked loudly.

"Shadow, in here," I ran for the female voice. I froze seeing Andy down near the floor, it seemed like she was a little disoriented.

"You take her out, I'll find the other one," I stared at Ice after he said that.

"I can't do that, what if you..." I started.

"I'll be fine. You're limping, you can't do anything in here," He cut me off, his voice sharp with worry.

"Tie's on the second floor," Andy coughed. I looked at her. She wanted me to go for Tie and leave her.

"We'll both be fine, you take her and go," Ice said sharply. I looked at him and saw a alpha male wolf looking back at me. I didn't argue, that was instinct. I walked over to Andy, lying on my belly so she could climb on. I looked at Ice as I ran back out side.

As soon as I was out I slipped to the ground to let Andy off and looked back at the house. I wanted to go back in after Ice but didn't quite dare. I limped on three legs to a corner, where I collapsed and began licking my injured shoulder.

I watched Shadow leave with the human woman. His limp was getting worse. I looked around. I spotted stares leading to the second floor.

I raced up the stares. Up stares I quickly picked up a humans sent. I fallowed the sent.

I found a human man with short brown hair. I knelt down and growled for him to get onto my back. He climbed onto my back.

I raced for the stares, but when I got there they were all on fire. I couldn't run down them. I looked around for another escape.

I spotted a window. I turned and ran. I leaped through the glass. I felt the shards cut my skin through my fur. I flow through the air. My paws hit the ruth of the next house. My back paws slipped. I fell, managing to hold on with my front paws. This wasn't good.

I was still leaning heavily on Nanuke. Looking ahead I saw Ice jump out of a building up ahead. A human clinging to his back. "Ice," I yelped.
