Throw away my doubts

~Echo~
His eyes regarded me questionly. I then realized how foolish I was being. Shadow had already been through enough pain in his life; I didn't want to burden his heart anymore. Shadow narrowed his eyes. "I know what I believe inside, I'm awake and I'm alive," Shadow said suddenly; his voice carrying every word in a deep melody. He didn't seem to know what else to say; he looked over at Ice and a halfer who was with him. I smiled softly, thinking about what Shadow had said; it was poetic. I still wasn't sure what I wanted to believe but I was alive and I wanted to fell like this was were I belonged. But the nagging fear still bit at my conscience. It kept asking the same question over and over; was it a mistake to get close to Shadow?

I shook my head; I couldn't think that way. Maybe someday I would be able to tell him the fears I had been holding onto for so long. But it was too early for that; I didn't want to sadden him. "Shadow," He looked back. "Merci, it was what I needed to hear." I smiled without faking it; he blinked in surprise. I looked around trying to see what was going on. "Um, is there anything you would like to do?" I asked awkwardly. I ignored the nagging voice; I wanted to know more about him. He had told me about his past but I wanted to know him for who he was.

Echo doesn't want to tell Shadow yet so she tries to change the subject. Also, she doesn't listen to english music that much so she just thinks Shadow is being poetic. ;)

Merci is thanks.
